I'm not christian, but im just guessing that its a different kind of pride. Like...
Theres this one:
"Im so awesome, and I got SWAG! And I am waaaay better than everyone!"
And then theres:
"I am proud of my son for getting a touchdown."
I cant put my finger on it, but in some way, they are different. -

Last time I checked Pride and Arrogance were exactly the same thing.

This one's easy.
The definition of pride, as I learned it when I was studying the Seven Deadly Sins, is an excessive belief in one's own abilities, which interferes with their ability to recognize the grace of God.
The difference is whether or not the vanity is blinding them to the good things handed to them.
And, for the record, I am not Christian. I am not biased.
