Why do i believe in God? A question that has changed my out look on life.
The reason this question changed me is because i dont have an answer. I don't know why i believe. I became a christian to be saved from my sins and that someone would love me. And i was very happy. Now- ten years later i question myself on the reasons.
What is the point in believing God? You work darn harder than any other person on the planet and for what? To live forever with God. Is that it? The answer to everything...?
If God doesn't exist then everything changes. There is no point in life except just to make the best out of it. And to live life to the fullest. And i don't have to worry about whats right or wrong. I dont have to believe in any morals. In a way i feel free.. you know. I can go out and get angry just like everybody else. I can curse and not care.
I can do what ever i want now. Anything and everything- there is no heaven no hell. No devil or demons to worry about.
But what i ask today is what about all the comfort i loose. I believed that God did everything for a reason and that there was no need to fear.
But now.. there isnt much comfort in sadness or illness. And that seems to leave me uneasy..
I really don't know what to do now. I will wait and see what to do i guess. I don't want to give up on God but.. where is he. God if you do exist and care- show me something.
Because if you don't, God, my whole life will change and you won't exist any more.. -
which is why i am always saying true christianity is based on faith- blind faith if you will.
a very noble object, but without understanding potentialy dangerous. -

my mom and aunt was drivin home from work on renesance and a drunk driver came out of no where and totaled the car and hit my mom side luckily no one wason the highway and on renasance is supposed the busyest highway time before the car hit they were talkin bout God and believin in him and everyone who saw the car said there was no way anyone survived that nut my mom and aunt madeit out with MINOR injuries im not supposed to have my mom or aunt today but i do because God saved them -

Any way i think that everyone- no matter what you believe should ask themselves why??
Ask yourself why do i believe what i believe. I have found th answers i was looking for- so should you :) -
Because I ish dumb nd ask for pudding and I have to get it myshelf so I guess I am good for now.

godistheway NewbieKirsteen, I have been praying about you since you first posted this comment. I don't have all the answers, but I can assure you that God does have a plan for you.
I think you have strengthened my faith and kind of forced me to question why I believe. I believe in God because He gives me undeserving, undeniable, everlasting love.
While reading your original post I can tell that you were desperately searching for a sign from God. I immediately started to pray that God would inspire me in a way that I could pass onto you. He really spoke to me about this topic through the song Before The Morning by Josh Wilson. It really applies to this situation. Some Bible versus that also help are Jeramiah 29:11; Galations 6:9; and Matthew 24:42. Read these amazing promises and let me know if they helped. I'll continue to keep praying for you. -

@godistheway. Listen this man that speaks to you, um, its a little something called, oh yeah! Voices in your head. You should go to a therapist or a doctor or something, a strong dose of realitly should wake you from these lies your drowning yourself in.
