Towelie Newbie"God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men (And as previously stated, Women with Women) and recieved in themselves the due penalty for their perversion. (Romans 1:26&27)
Gay Christans are Jewish Nazis. -
No. Gays are not Nazis. Nazis killed 12 million people (including homosexuals). Get your facts straight you ignorant, bigoted piece of crap. And last I checked, your Lord and Savior who died for your sins and rose from the dead encouraged the acceptance of all people. So who's really the s---ty Christian?
-
Towelie NewbieGoddamn. Youve misunderstood me.
I was saying that gays shouldn't put their faith in a god that doesn't accept them. And that the reason theyre gay is 'punishment'.
The nazi thing was a comparison to the irony. Nazis heavily persecuted jews and christanity heavily persecutes homosexuality.
Sorry for the misunderstanding -
This is the kind of stuff that makes christianity confusing >:|
It has all this criticism and then talks about acceptance. But yeah. I agree with both of you about how Christians are supposed to accept people and all that s---.
But watevs. Seems to me theres gonna be an athiest vs. christian fight when more people post. -
Also, the Towelie account is my friend Anthony. He was trying to make a point against christianity. So I apologize on his behalf.

Actually, I see that verse as saying that people just engaged in sex out of marriage, only had sex for lust, yada yada. I believe that God sees a good marriage as two loving adults that live to serve and worship him. And also, you just took a verse out of whatever story or description that was going on. It would be talking about those people specifically, not gays as a whole.
Proud to be a Christian to a God that loves me for who I am! :D -
I dont read the bible so I guess I cant join this convo xD
But yeah. Doesnt really matter your religion or sexuality as long as your cool -
FLgirl92 NewbieI agree with Ana on this one. Love is love, and God is accepting of all love. I also think God is alright with us finding enjoyment in sex, but He expects us to be virtuous and not simply whore ourselves out, to put it bluntly. As someone who in the past has been quick to get into bed with a guy, only to have him stomp on my heart, I can say it is best to be careful in giving yourself over to someone in that way.
Also, I do think it is possible to be gay and Christian. I'm Christian myself, but I also happen to be bisexual. -
Agreed, FLgirl.
As time has proven, sometimes you have to stand up for what's right even when everyone else if wrong. America has always been about standing up, against racism, ignorance, and bad governments. God is the all loving, true God. He wants what's right, and moral and just, and two adults in a loving relationship is right. So whenever we Christian gays get scared or feel like there's no one like us, remember the interracial couples and couples of different classes of yesteryear. They faced the same judgment, for no reason but hatred. God is love, and I'm going to tell you the honest truth. Whenever I was fighting with myself and saying being gay was wrong, I never felt so much pain and alone in my life. But when I turned to God, and did deeper research in the Bible, and finally began to accept myself, I felt a weight lifted off me. I smiled, because I knew what I wanted wasn't lust, but to be in a happy, loving relationship with someone I love.
Satan is the one creating theses lies and ruining the church. He's the one that's causing all the confusion and sorrow. Christians are sinners just like everyone else and they can be fooled too. So just because a Christian is a total baka, doesn't mean that's how God is. :I
That's my stance. I never let other Christians influence my relationship with God. God makes me so happy, when I truly go to him without other people's inputs. Like in my thread just a bit down from here, that's why I'm a 'Christian'. And I won't let anyone take away the joy and hope and love I have in God. :D
