God is not false
Both are true statements. There is no proof but evidence leaning more towards one side.
Vampgirl, I don't suggest saying anything further about how god is not false, you'd just start another flame war. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, we can think he's false if we want to. -
...Personally, I think the idea is that because Jesus died for our sins, we shouldn't sin.
In the Bible (I'm pretty sure, haeven't read it in years) and in church, the priest will always say how Jesus might walk among us, so we should treat everyone with respect and such.
We made a mistake by sinning, which lead to the death of the Lord's son.
Because of this, by not sinning, we prevent the death of Jesus when he returns.
Or so I think the sotry goes :) -

That's right. God sacrificed himself, to himself so that we may be forgiven of the sins of our ancestors for crimes that God also says we wont be blamed for.
Deuteronomy 24:16
Fathers shall not be put to death for their children, nor children put to death for their fathers; each is to die for his own sin.
How can this coincide with eternal sin? Shouldnt we all be forgiven and given the chance to decide for ourselves whether or not to sin? Or are we still being punished for the sins of our fathers? I sense a logical fallicy in an omnipitant being... -

@ barberbob2 it is impossible not to sin everyone is a sinner, the reason God sent Jesus to die for our sins, is to save us, you say that we are being punished for our ancestors sins, but today people still sin, there are liars, murderers, stealers, people who are dirty minded and so may things Galatians 5:19-20 talks about these things

And Kierra, the reason we try to get people to stop believing, is because those bronze aged idiologies are dragging down the human race from it's full potential. There was once a time when most of the world was Christian. It was a time of the Great Crusades, Holy Inquisition, and Heretic Burnings. They're called the dark ages for a reason everybody. -

barberbob2 the dark ages were called that because the Roman Catholic Church, refused for the people to read the Word of God for themselves do you know the verse "The only way to the Father is through me" forgivness for being a human has nothing to do with entering the Kingdom of God. True some of us have suffered and then blame God, it's because you did not go to God.

Angelic: You're right. I didnt go to god. I fixed my own damned problems. I didnt blame him because it doesnt make sense to blame someone elses imaginary friends for your problems.
Also, think about it. You said that the reason that they were the dark ages were because the public couldnt read the bible. Yet the people who were allowed to read it, were also allowed to rewrite it. That damned book is the colaboration of the most corrupted people of their time, wrapped up all innocently with a nice little bow ontop. You are reading the sweet version of the motives of corrupt politicians.
(Also, this is just an opening arguement. I can keep going if you'd like. Would you like to hear about the systematic mass conversion of other religions? What about the public beheadings for not going to church? Come on, I got all night.)

wow.......u just.....cursed...on..the......bible....O.O....ok enough is enough! im one of those ppl who isn't sure what they want! i like the christian rap, hip hop, and pop songs....and i like the sermons....i think i should go this way...because theres no other way to find peace in my heart....when i hear drugs...i feel betrayal for some reason(i have never and will never take drugs) when i hear...sex...i get chills down my spine(no joke)....but when i hear God and Jesus....i always have this feeling(a very good feeling)deep down inside....and its telling me...this is the way for you to go....i guess thats why Jesus said "many are called but few are chosen" i guess....but anyway...im just telling you how i am....im just a confused person wondering...'why cant i find what i want in everything that i do?!but when i hear about Him....its like...everything that i have held, (like anger and such)they go away?!'....thats just how i feel...just wanted to let you know that

barberbob, I'm no catholic, the Roman Catholic Church back in those days was corrupt, i know so many people who beheaded because of their faith, there we also protestants back those days with Martin Luther, tell me what about all the evidence that the Word of God proves out there, all the miracles, tell me how the earth was formed, and it is an open argument so shall we go on
@ tongue, of i have noticed all other things, the truth is noone forces you to believe God exists, it's your choice, there are other religions out there Muslims, Hindu etc...
