Heavy, I think that first post of your's was unneccessary. Appa didn't state that she was speaking directly at you, and therefore taking up the defensive side of an arguement that didn't exist makes you look, well, like an idiot.

The first step towards understanding something is to admit that you know nothing.
And at first I did know nothing. So I did do my research. And I judged life from a neutral perspective and came to the conclusion I did because I was not willing to deny my own common sense. Religion mocks non believers and tells them to disprove god, when the religious commnity cannot prove that there is one in the first place. -
It's not necessarily about proof, it was about belief. Religion brings hope, something that many people need.
Religiong is a personal opinion on how a person should act and what happens after death. Is it right to disprove a personal opinion? No one can know the truth, not yet anyway. So, I beleive that it is pointless for people to try and disprove religion.
All they do is get rid of the hope building up inside religious people. Though, it may be false hope, it is hope nevertheless. Nobody needs that taken away from them, especially under the circumstances of religion. -
