Theist: Why dont some people believe in GOD?
Me: Why dont some people believe in unicorns?
Theist:well cause for starters they're not real
Me: And you say that based on what grounds, sir?
Theist: Nobody has ever seen one!
Me: So you're saying you have to SEE something for it to be real? hmm?
Theist: I never said that! And besides, if you want to go there, how come no one's ever found unicorn bones?
Me: OK! And now you're saying you have to have physical evidence to believe in something. What about faith?
Theist: There's nothing about faith when it comes to unicorns! It's something from a childs book for Christ's sake!
Me: So you're implying that we shouldnt believe in something that only exists in fable books?
Theist: YES! And besides that, if unicorns REALLy did exist, some biologist would have published something about it by now.
Me: Okay, so let me recap this one more time. You're saying that for someone to believe something exists, it must have:
1) factual evidence
2) physical evidence
3) Scientific evidence
4) All of the evidence must come from somewhere other than a book.
I guess now you understand why some people dont believe in god. -
I think it's POSSIBLE unicorns exist. We have nothing to say they don't. As far as I know.
