My cousin went in for her second surgery earlier today, or yesterday ause of the time, and she told me that during the first one she died for a few moments. she said she saw our grandma gg telling her to go back and that Heaven wasn't ready to take her yet. So I'm wondering, is there a God, a Heaven, and a Hell?
...Possibly... -
There is at least an equivalent.
I don't know exactly about it matching any particular religion, but I've heard plenty of experiences and even some scientific things that come very close to proving the existence of things like souls and the afterlife.
Will come back with aforementioned "evidence".
(Note that I said "very close" not "exactly", just because I have this similar thing doesn't mean, for example, that there is a golden kingdom.) -
I always believed in spirits. I just get these weird feelings every now and then.

Doctors consider someone legally dead if their heart stops beating and their lungs stop functioning. During this grace period, your body registers that it is failing. You're brain goes through an emergency proceedure in which neural shockwaves start surging through all parts of your brain to try and restart those two vital organs. This means that not only are the organs usually restarted, but that someone's memory and imagination is also bombarded with stimulation.
The preset idea of a personal belief is awakened by ones imagination complex and the recolection of deceased loved ones is intermingled in this exact same time. I'm not doubting that your cousin believed she saw heaven, I'm just pointing out that, just like everything else that "proves" religion is true, there is an physically viable and logical reason behind it. -
How about when they register all the neural shockwaves as gone and out too, and they're dead for a couple days, but then they come back and recall what they saw?
-
I agree with appa.
After the body had done all it can do, and it still fails, thats when the soul leaves. (at least, this is what I think) And its going "towards the light" when the doctors shock your heart with those paddle things and you come back.
You can't imagine that after your body is dead. -
The mind works infinitly faster that we can comprehend. Nueral messages only take a split second to connect. Look at it this way, The average dream only lasts about an eigth of a second. So in the split second it takes the mind to reboot after a complete shut down everything I just stated in my last post can and does happen. Believe me, I've been legally dead before. That is what compelled me to do my research. It was back when I was religious. I saw those "pearly gates". Believe me, they arent all they're cracked up to be.

tongue AdvancedI think your cousin's full of s---.
-
Well said tongue. Well said.

You're an ass. She never lies to me and if she did, I'd kill her. :/ Not to mention she was actually so scared, she didn't want me to leave. So you're full of s---.

"Gen. 28:11 When [Jacob] reached a certain place, he stopped for the night because the sun had set. Taking one of the stones there, he put it under his head and lay down to sleep. 12He had a dream in which he saw a stairway resting on the earth, with its top reaching to heaven, and the angels of God were ascending and descending on it. 13There above it stood the LORD, and he said: "I am the LORD, the God of your father Abraham and the God of Isaac. I will give you and your descendants the land on which you are lying. 14Your descendants will be like the dust of the earth, and you will spread out to the west and to the east, to the north and to the south. All peoples on earth will be blessed through you and your offspring. 15I am with you and will watch over you wherever you go, and I will bring you back to this land. I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you." 16When Jacob awoke from his sleep, he thought, "Surely the LORD is in this place, and I was not aware of it." 17He was afraid and said, "How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God; this is the gate of heaven.'"

Tongue- what the hell is wrong with you to feel compelled enough to say that? I mean, at least Bob, explained his reasoning why he doesn't think that what happened actually happened. That was a dick move.
-
tongue AdvancedJust stating my honest opinion, Britt. It sounded like a complete lie to me.
-
That was a nasty way of putting it.
-
I mean dead for *literally* a couple days, not they *think* it was a couple days.
And yes tongue, that was a dick move.
