how long would this research take? I'm not going to devote a monstrous amount of time to it.

He has 10 minute videos on youtube of his research. He explains everything from evolution, to the conversion of mass, to even multiple dimensions. He is very easy to listen to and he explains things in a way that make sense.

that would imply that intelligence grew within the organism and with that comes dominance, the food chain.
the food chain varies among the different species. pretty sure hamsters are not above any reptile. -
Intellegence grew as a survival technique. Instead of being the fastest or strongest or biggest, you are the smartest.

that's not the idea evolution. It's to adapt to your soroundings. And in literally all situations it's to be the most dominant, intelligence I guess could be overrated at that particular time.

The name of the game is survival. Some animals use their speed to survive, some animals use their strength to survive, and some animals use their size to survive. Humans use their intellegence to survive. We build things and invent things to make up for our lacking in any other quality.

Hampsters reproduce quickly, they are also good scavengers and burrowers. They are efficiant and small.

yeah, this is going around in circles. And besides if the arguement was over religion, wouldnt getting this far already prove that god was either a sadistic mad man who created thousands of organisms to die at the hands of stronger life forms, or he didnt exist at all.
