Thread Topic: Can we just please stop brawling with each on this forum?

Look, everyone has a different view on religion, and we have to take those long, termite-covered sticks out of our asses and accept that.
If we want to prove the bible wrong, if we want to go against it, so be it. It's what we believe, and I think we all have a right to state our opinions or what we think.
I'm tired of all the damn fighting that goes on here. God, can't we all just get along? Some of us are Catholic. Others are Atheists.
Get on with life and LIVE WITH IT. Take that dick out of your ass, along with the stick up your prostate, and GET OVER IT.
And anyone who's going to have balls to say something against it, I'm simply stating my opinion, and it can't be changed. So there.
Not trying to start a flame war or anything. -
Agreed! I can believe in motherfukin pie if I want to.xD er sorry.
-
I agree, I'm not at all in the mood for these "debates" anymore. That's why I try to just plain avoid this forum. I'm strong in what I believe, but I'm not trying to change anyone, nor do I want to.
-
I enjoy debating but I guess you're right lol
nothing wrong with a debate every now and then but GOD, the fights are endless in here, it's a very controversal subject though. -
It is a controversial subject, therefore it is and always will be open for debate. You can't change it. I love to join the debates on this Forum, I find them very interesting. If you don't like them, then don't read them. Simple as that.
By the way, I love your approach to not strating a flame: GET THAT DICK OUT OF YOUR ASS...
Very classy.
;) -
I can agree.
A good debate is pretty much what these topics are for.
I'll admit I can get pissed off after a while of trying to get a point across, and the other person instead of getting my point and trying to disprove it decides to pick at what I said and insult me for any error I made.
Then again I word things weirdly. -
C'mon Nikki, the only person that would start a fight about THAT is someone that has absolutely no sense of humour.
In which case, I respect that religion is a very controversal topic. I respect that you guys are just trying to clear things up about your religion, trying to make others see what's right about it, etc.
I stay out of this forum, but I come here every now and then, and it bothers me when I see a whole bunch of atheists ganging up on another person, vice versa as well, or when there's a really heated debate.
I obviously can't stop the fights that go on here. But can we at least turn down the heat? -
'Course we can. But we won't. Look at the people here... anger and frustration basically rules the minds of most users. Not all, but a good part of them.
I completely understand: some people SERIOUSLY need to learn how to take a joke. I was raised Catholic, but all of the Atheist jokes and disprovals makes me laugh sooooo hard... some of them are really just hilarious! Some people just need to be a little more open-minded and learn to take a joke and laugh it off. I can agree with you on that.
As for turning down the heat? I'd love to, but I seriously doubt it. Most religious people tend to have a certain pride in their religion, so they defend it. And you know as well as I do that not everybody will debate nicely, but rather cuss and go apes---. Not a fact or anything, just an observation...
;) -
Haha, you said apes---. :D (inside joke don't mind me)
I agree with you on that. I'm actually one of those users, sometimes. Not really though.
Yeah, it's the same with your race and all that. I hear people making all these stupid Mexican jokes, yet I STILL laugh. I don't know why people have to be so b----y sometimes.
Yep, I'll agree in that as well. Everyone grows desperate while defending something. -
Exactly. When people say stupidity about Canada, I automatically feel like I should say, "No, you're wrong because of this and this and that" but I hold back, knowing that it would be pointless. Others should do the same.
People make fun of my race(s) all th time, and I laugh along. Hell, racist jokes crack me up the most, but it doesn't make me a racist. Canadian jokes crack me up as well, bu that doesn't make me a traitor.
Sometimes people need to learn compassion: agree, love, MOVING ON.
;) -
I personally think the point of this forum is to debate the subject. Of course, no ones views will be changed, I think it's helpful to find who you are.
-
As long as you don't hate on people for no f---IN reason, I'm completely cool with what you believe. Just no racism, sexism or homophobia. I'll be open to your ideas, just be open to mine.
-
I have some of the most insulting, most heated, and most provocative debates on this forum. But I'll walk away from here feeling refreshed and happy about what an invigorating debate I had. Then if I see that person elsewhere, the debate doesnt change my views about that person.
No matter how much you debate or how intense it gets, if you remember that it's a debate and not a fight to the death, you should be able to get as ingrossed in it as you want. -
