Oki, so I’m slightly confused on people’s definition of ‘God’
-
depends on what religion you are talking about
-
Anyone’s.
I know that people believe in many kinds of gods, sometimes more than one. What I don’t understand, is why some people slightly discriminate against others who don’t have the same beliefs?.. -
well often their religions say to
-
But God’s supposed to be kind... right?
-
according to God lol
-
I'm agnostic
I believe that we simply are. We exist, period. I don't think that some 'higher being' or whatever created us and is watching us. Y'know?
I also (no offense) think the idea of a God is kinda silly. (again, no offense. just having a discussion) -
@Cham can you give me some situations?
-
I have to admit to you Tat, I don't agree with your "no second chance" idea. I think that everyone is given a chance when they die, to make their final decision. What if someone's nice, but they don't believe in God? Would they just get thrown into hell too? I don't think so.

Isaiah 64:6 – All of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous acts are like filthy rags; we all shrivel up like a leaf, and like the wind our sins sweep us away.
It doesn't matter if you were a nice or a good person, if you don't have faith, you go to hell. -
Ephesians 2:8 – For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God, not by works so that no one can boast.
By grace alone through faith alone -
ChameleonLeap: Religion is such an umbrella. I personally believe religion was created as a scare tactic, then grew into something that could explain the unexplainable. [I don't think all religions are this way, just some of the main-stream ones.]
As for the questions about God, which religion are you referring to? (I assume Christianity, but I don't want to type something that is completely different than what you mean.) -
I can confidently say I'm a christian, unlike most people.
How do you explain how God knew covid-19 would come before it even happened?
AI, a.k.a. Artificial Intelligence, will actually take over the world along with the Anti Christ. He states that in Revelation.
Also, like Tat said, it doesn't matter if you're 'nice' or a 'good' person. We're not good in this world; we're sinners. But God has so much mercy that he cleansed us of our sins. He died on the cross for us, even though we didn't deserve it. People are walking blind, when they can't see how much God has provided for them. There is one god, and one god only. Amen! -
So basically what you're saying is that my grandparents, who are genuinely kind and sweet people are just going to get tossed into hell because they aren't Christian?
I believe that if they're good, there's always a chance for redemption. Up to the very last second, there's a chance. I think that if they're truly good, they'll be drawn to the greater good and have faith.
