Why? Why not?
If yes do you believe they have visited us? Why or why not? -
jesus was the only alien :)

TheMagic12321 NoviceAliens should be real because earth can't be the only place in the universe with life. I don't think they ever came because our sun isn't that big and who could care less about a random obscure planet anyway???
-
Is it really so self centered to believe that the entire universe was made specifically for us, and that it belongs wholly to us?
-
You know I never agree worth the geek but he's true^^^
-
Is that what you believe ihlaoy?
-
Yes.
I mean, if provided proof for the existence of aliens, I'd certainly change my view, but as it is now? We are the only intelligent life in the universe, and God made the entire universe with the idea that we would one day populate it.
I mean, the universe is 13 billion years old, and research shows we've only been here for two of those. If other races existed, they'd be billions of years ahead of us technologically, and would need nearly every observable planet simply to hold the size of their race. (Remember, population doubles every generation.) Their existence would be nearly certain, because they would simply be so pervasive. With nearly 10 billion years experience, any intelligent life would have ample time to contact one another. (And us, if only because, out of trillions and trillions of people, one stumbles upon us.)
Now of course, you could claim that they've gone digital, or are so advanced they're invisible to us (like trying to find radio waves with smoke signals,) or spout the great filter theory, but remember that all of these are simply hypothetical, and have just about as much evidence as I do. They try to explain the lack of evidence, not provide evidence in and of themselves.
Taking the lack of evidence in hand...
Statistically speaking, aliens should exist. But they don't. Or at least, we don't have any evidence they do. Therefore, we can assume that we are alone in the universe. Applying a Christian perspective to that, God created the entire universe specifically for us.
Now, you might disagree, but with no evidence for or against the existence of aliens, everything here is largely hypothetical. -
Perhaps the evidence is just not well known and you have to look for it?
-
Perhaps it is.
Perhaps all I need to do is google 'evidence of aliens' and I'd have my entire world view reversed.
Perhaps you could say the same for any other creature. Perhaps I just need to google 'Evidence of fairies,' or 'evidence of gnomes,' and I'd find some magical page that expanded my consciousness.
Perhaps the evidence is just not well known.
But as I see it, there is no evidence. None that I've found. So I'm going to base my beliefs around that lack of evidence. -
I wonder what we'll find when the field of space exploration has expanded. I'm not too convinced we'll find aliens.
-
No, I don't believe in aliens. Because they do NOT exist, in the first place.
-
That is a bit small minded of you jeesh
-
I agree with zac and the geek

I believe there are aliens out there, I fail to see how a universe with uncountable amount of planets and Earth is the only one that happens to be habitable.
There are countless planets out there that are very similar to Earth and have a high probability of life.
