I think humanity would be a lot advanced without the influence of religion. Religion does nothing but suppress knowledge and limit individual freedom.

Religion stems from humanities attempts to explain the unknown and fear of the unknown. I view the beginning of religion to be a great sign as explaining the unknown is what moved humanity forward.

my point girl, is that you might as well do something that utterly pointless if you think religion has any influence of human nature. It is a symptom of, and not the condition itself. Religion also, is not any more harmful than anything else humanity cooks up.
People that believe religion is somehow a problem are completely tripping. -
When has religion ever discouraged racism or sexism (or homophobia, as long as we're on the subject of oppression)? The Bible was used by American slave owners to justify slavery because Leviticus says you can own slaves as they aren't Christian. And sexism? If anything religion has done nothing but encourage sexism. Adam and Eve has been the basis for each of the Abrahamic faiths (Christianity, Judaism, and Islam) to systematically oppress women.

lol its funny how it's so easy for you to forget that the scientific community claimed evidence existed that proved woman were less intelligent than men, and that illness came from "bad air".
we don't need religion to kill each other any more than we need science to be curious.
Religion is the result of our social intellect evolving from hunter gather, to global civilization, in the same way Science is the result of our capacity to learn from our mistakes. -
gir13 Newbie@ slim t fristly i am a guy and secondly religion has cused wars and killings just look at what is going on in the middle east proof right there so it is used for an exuse to kill as much as race is used religion is just dumbing humans down

It would be easier without it because the devil would get what he would want out of all of us by our sins.
With it, it is harder for the ones who are living it, meaning the people who are Christians. For the ones who have other religions or no religion at all, we are the day-to-day headache for them/you.
Because of Christianity, there are many wars, which are a result of the devil trying to cause a stir as revenge when many of us Christians do what is asked of us.
