I'm writing a paper about comparing Christianity and Paganism, and I'm on the Holy Trinity and the Triple Goddess right now. I know that the Son is Jesus, and the Father is God, but what is the Holy Spirit? Is it just like the spirit of God/Jesus?

The Holy Spirit is basically The person in the trinity that lets us as humans receive the grace of God, and is their main messenger. It's normally represented by a dove, but really the Holy Spirit has no earthly form.

Okay, so it's a messenger? But who is it giving messages to if everyone in the Trinity is technically all the same being?

The god head is the same person, just in different forms. Much like water. The holy sprit isn't a messenger, it is more of a filling presence.

No, I'd have to quote The Bible then, and I'm still learning how to cite Chicago Style, so I wouldn't want to do all of that for just one thing. I'll just google it and try to find it. Thanks though.

The way that it's a messenger is that it brings God's grace to us humans, and possibly animals, although thats a very controversial topic, since not even people of the same faith as myself can agree on whether animals have souls. And yes, the Holy Spirit fills us with God's grace, if you let him.

Yes. I figured I'd ask in case anyone knew. And I learned about it when I went to Sunday school, but that was a while ago, so I needed to refresh my memory.

If im not mistaken the holy spirit is the aspect of god that created the universe. He's mainly credited for his role in allowing mortals to see the so called truth and guiding them through life to the father and the son.
He was also the aspect who in the new testament made marry pregnant with jesus.
