The star wars universe.
Hundreds if not thousands of species.
Incredible vehicles.
Thousands of planets.
How is it not real? One day I'll see a Nu class shuttle descend from the skies and take me up to planets like malastare, and skeebo. To witness the shape changing clawdites and flying genosians. -

Its justs, number one, most of the people here ARE children. Number two, for whatever reason, rational or irrational, a vast amount of people many who are arguably very successful hold these beliefs.
And when you can step up and say that if you believe in angels, youre retarded, man thats as dumb as it gets.
Over generalization, false cause, slippery slope, and not to mention if a persons so stinkin smart, than how come you cant read a little fantasy without callng names?
Again guys, im not upset or irrate like tongues trying to make me out to be, it aint like that. Im just sayin atheisms fine, but this over exaggerated war on anything religious is just ridiculous frankly. It breaks damn bear every rule of logic known to man, and hypocritially calls for logic in return.

If you don't want to discuss religious topics, why are you in the religious forum to begin with? Sure, you can come in and say 'oh, God doesn't exist, you're all fools,' but that doesn't add anything to the conversation other than jerking yourself off and making you look like an a--hole.
It's like going into the Garage, finding a thread about bicycles and saying 'oh, I drive a car, losers.' It's like, what are you trying to accomplish? If I want to discuss Atheism, I can easily make a thread for it. If you want to discuss the appearance of Angels, I shouldn't come in here to a bunch of a--holes going 'well, angels aren't real so you can't see them, idiot.'
Moving on, while there is a history of people seeing angels cataloged in the Bible, I feel these were very unique cases that were central to a single or group of people. I don't believe the average person could see an angel. -
What me and a group of strong Christians belive is that angels just appear on earth in the form of another human. So unless God opens you eyes to the fact that you were talking to an angel you just think you were talking to another person.
keep that in perspective I'm not saying that your brother could be an angel I'm referring to like a person who would just talk to you in Wal mart or something -
For what purpose though? In the Bible, Angels simply worked as messengers and occasionally soldiers for God. What purpose would there be to having them go undercover?And please don't say 'to do good,' because then you've missed the entire point of an angel and reduced them to errand boys.

To give you encouragement, help you in your darkest hour, not all angels are great warriors I mean lucifer wasn't, and besides why can't the messengers help us and give us encouragment from God just like an angel in the bible.

It just seems rather egocentric to assume that you're so important that an angel is going to come down from heaven to mentor you, especially when there's no evidence of an angel ever actually giving advice that wasn't directly from God, like in Acts (19-20, I think). You're making a lot of assumptions from very little evidence.

Nah, I disagree with too many of their central beliefs to be Catholic. Things like original sin and the veneration of Virgin Mary are only supported because of rewrites of the Bible, which contradicts the belief that it's the undiluted word of God.

Ok then, I'm done arguing with people just like I said to slim a couple of hour ago so you will be seeing less of me unless you guys start coming up to me with crazy theorys about how flying lizards are the reason that pigs bacon taste so good and that that bacon caused the creation of the universe or something.
