If there's a god why do people get cancer? Surely it's not his "path" for our lives for good people to suffer, for little girls to get kidnapped, for good men to be shot, for fires to start. Some argue that he set the Earth in motion, but doesn't control it now. But theoretically, if he has the incredible power why wouldn't he be able to use it to control the disgusting pain humanity brings upon itself? Also, if he "loves all his children" and "is all merciful" than why do homosexuals deserve to burn for all eternity? I'll have fun in hell because I wouldn't want to meet a god like that in the first place. Why is it that if you don't believe in him, you automatically encounter excruciating pain for the rest of eternity? Or is heaven and hell just a metaphor? Is religion itself a metaphor? I'm finding that the bible doesn't make sense to me. Also, there are thousands of religions, what proof do you have that your religion is the right one?

Disease is needed because without it the earth would overpopulate and there would be starvation, why god shortened lifespans over time. And the other 2 nasty things are cus of man.
Provide proof the bible does the homosexuality thing. Any homo rules in old testament were because of the need to populate the earth Now the earth is populated more than enough it is no longer needed.
I know little about the scriptures on hell so I will not be going after that topic.
And we have no proof. No religion (pretend atheism is a religion here) has absolute proof currently. Therefore faith is needed for any belief. Or just have no faith in anything and go with agnosticism. -
There are so many answers to those questions my young padawan learner. So many answers to the individual questions and the whole sentiment, yet the only one really worth answering is the last: the only thing we can be sure of is our own existence.

That is highly debatable slim_t.

Natrually. Which part were you considering devating me on?
-
Wether or not we exist.
-
Not really. You? Sure. But there is no short of redefining the meaning of the word that you can convince me I don't exist.
