-
welll im going to bother myself with it
-
i want to believe in a higher being and an after life, i just cant get the whole faith thing down. that part just seems a little odd to me.
-
I respect Atheisism, but I can't help but find it odd, anyway.
-
Atheist means you don't believe in anything.
Religion can be really... peaceful and spiritually exciting (LOL) if you bother with it.
It's like when I was in Church on Sunday and this guy was preaching and it's like I could feel someone watching me. Now THAT was cool. -
Religion peace, no (obviously) and spiritually exciting, I guess
-
Sometimes, I just like to sit down and think about what god made of the world, and I feel a calming pressence inside.
Sometimes it's just nice to sit and think about the world. -
"Atheist means you don't believe in anything."
Not really. Someone can believe in lots of things and still be an atheist, whether of the supernatural or philosophical type. There is an atheistic version of Buddhism, I believe, and Taoism. -
Technically, that's what it means.
Theist meaning believer and 'a' meaning the negative in Latin.
-
But 'theist' comes from 'theos', a Greek word for god. So, a theist is a believer in god, not just a believer.
-
WTF
-
but the "a" would contradict that god part, so its still not a believer (in god)
-
Look, Atheist means a non believer in god.
Simple as that.
OK???!!! -
Latin rules.
theist = believer
a = negative
negative + believer = Don't believe.
Pwned. -
That's what I just said! Well, generally anyways.
-
A theist is not JUST a believer.
