Yes, I wear mixed fabrics, because I don't give a crap.
I'm not a true Christian; never said I was... -
Just gonna interject here and say you can be a true Christian without following the bible word for word. I'm a Quaker which is branch of Christianity and pretty much the only part of the bible we follow is the whole'Love thy neighbour ' thing. Speaking of which, what does the whole 'homosexuals will burn in hell ' thing say about Love thy neighbour ? Is there some exit clause in that that says 'love thy neighbour as long as they're Christian , loves the opposite gender and follows every single rule in this bible that chances are the Catholic church made up anyway( I mean the rules and the burn in hell thing , not the whole bible)? As I believe someone mentioned earlier , what happened to the part of the bible where it says words to the effect of Jesus forgives all.( I haven't read the bible in years so I don't know it word for word)

Who knows XD

What I just don't get is how gay marriage affect YOU SPECIFICALLY. Based on you beliefs you go to heaven on what YOU'VE done, not what other people do. Gay marriage doesn't affect anyone except the people in involved.
-
No, I do not believe that doing "good works" will get you to heaven! So many people think this but that is not true...you cannot get to heaven by your works.... Not that you should stop doing good works......
-
You're basically implying that all we have to do is believe, then we'll get a freeway ticket to heaven.
I sure hope God doesn't judge as closemindly as you're making him to be. -
So your deity rewards people for being cheer leaders instead of actually doing the right thing? Why on earth would anyone follow this crap?
-
Ladies and gentlemen, this is the s--- the next generation will be raised with. World is officially f---ed.
-
in regards to having only to "believe" to get to heaven, if I'm not mistaken, the way it works is that if you truly accept "God" then you will do his will and be a "good" person.
It's not JUST about believing, just that believing is the key to living the religion. according to the religion that is.
also, Why on earth would anyone follow this crap?
Same reason they'd follow any other crap. Because old people who have no idea what they're talking about tell young people who have no idea what they're hearing to do something and they do it.
On a comsological scale the chance of anybody being right is slim to none. on a personal scale it really doesn't matter. As far justification for following any path goes you could give literally ANY rational explanation and it would be fair enough.
The thing that gets me is that given how easy it is to justify ones actions, why are so few people able to do it? -
Pfffff and yet no one proved Geeko wrong
-
You all sound like Linda Brunton

on a cosmological scale, they're all equally unlikely.
On a personal level, it is person.
But on an interpersonal level is where religious beliefs do damage. -
Okay this is my opinion on same sex marriage.
I don't have a problem with it. My cousin is gay, I have lesbian friends, I have bio friends. So if they want to marry the same sex as them, I support them. Screw the religion part, because all religions lead to the same thing, Its wrong, its immoral, its a sin. You know what if they are destined to be together why stop them? So Chritianitians and other religious people can suck it up, and shove a tollerence stick up their asses, and get the f--- over it. the world is changing, you can't stop that. So why not embrace the future instead of a dusty old book that had been revised three times and althered? Don't fear the wrath of God. He should accept all his children for who they are.
