I find myself getting mad at Christians lately. I just can't stand the way they talk.
"God does this! God does that! God says this! God thinks that! Godgodgodgodgod!!!!"
Lately I've been finding myself thinking, "If God exists, and even then, you are not him, so you do not know."
I feel as though they don't think for themselves and just listen to people brainwashing them constantly. I just want to shake them and yell, "Think, goddammit, think!!!"
Whenever I approach someone I'm close to for advice, they always say, "There's nothing you can do, it's in God's hands."
I just want to yell, "NO I'TS f---ING NOT!" People are capable of taking care of things, whether there is a god or not. We need to take care of ourselves, not rely on some invisible force to do it for us.
I just need someone here, in real life, whose eyes aren't clouded with fiction. I need someone who will listen to me and talk to me without bringing God into the conversation. I need someone who understands that I think like a human, not a brainwashed slave. -
I will listen. Are you ok?
-
we're always here for eachother.

Although i am slightly religious, i agree with this. God made us to make our own choices, not to do everything the priest says.
Just follow his ten commandmands and learm from the bible, we do not have to live perfectly, and we have our own free will.
About It's in god's hands, Why would you leave everything to god? We have to make our own mistakes too. A human cannot live without mistakes, because you really have to learn from them. -
I have to agree with Omegy. We were made with free will, and we aren't perfect.

Thank you Rave.

@omega & @rave I believe in God and all, and I agree with the free will thing. People just keep pissing me off with the whole, "it's in God's hands" thing.
@luv Yeah. I just wish I could tell people about my being bi without everyone around me judging me and praying to God to "cure" me. And when I do have a problem (I suffered with anorexia and recently relapsed after a year and a half), they tell me that I need to get over it and pray. Or when I'm worried about a friend who's been going through a hard time, I'm told to leave him/her be because "God's will will be done." I can't even talk about my feelings without being preached to. I need someone who will just hug me and let me cry instead of someone telling me to shut up and pray. -
*opens arms to hug*

(>'~')> *hugs back*

Look if you want me to give you advice without "preaching" I can. Only if you want though
-
Honestly, please.

UnLoving NewbieErm...I probably can't. This is why I don't talk much in real life honestly or I just say some fake answer.
But I just want to point out why is it just Christians? You don't find that Muslims do that, or Hindus, or.....? -
I live in a prominently Christian area. I don't personally know any Muslims or Hindus.
-
You know, neither do I.
-
I live in an area where different peoples come in and out all the time. I never see Muslims or Hindus do that. It's just Christians.
