UnLoving, Th wanted to talk to me. So get your ass in the thread and go on my thread with your name on it.
-
UnLoving NewbieI went into your thread.
Yes, dude there is a Christmas station, you know.
But on the /pop station/ would you want Christian music on?
So you're implying that atheism is automatically the way America should live? - "clear-headed..." whatever else you said.
"Why should America have to live by that?" Well why should America have to live by atheism? -
No we're not saying all of the United States should be atheist, that's against the first amendment. We're saying that Christian ideas have more restrictions that atheist ideas. Like bananabread said, if you don't like gay marriage then don't marry someone of the same sex. God isn't going to judge you based on what people around you do, he's judging you on what YOU do.
-
Me personally no, but I know very religious people who listen to that music so you should ask them.
I'm not implying that it's the right way I'm saying that not only have rulers contorted religion to better themselves but it also leads into the next topic. It stops the rest of us, who want to do what we want to do with our lives because religion reigns over everything. We deserve free choice to do what we want with our own personal property, aka our bodies. -
UnLoving Newbie@bread - No I'm asking YOU. I'm asking all atheists. ///Would you want a Christian song on your station?///
-
I literally just said "Me personally no,..."
-
But, to be fair, I don't like most music on the radio now.
-
There was this one Christian song I liked. Everything about Jesus and his crucifixion and resurrection was described in a really beautiful poetic way and I liked it. Keep in mind im an agnostic/atheist
-
"your station"
we have a station? You mean any radio station that ISN'T Christian? -
UnLoving NewbieI mean the pop station.
@bread - So it's okay for that song that's against Christianity (not really against it but you know) but it's not okay for a song that's against (not really against but) atheism to be on the pop station? -
Um... There's not any hate Christian songs I've even heard of before. It can if it's popular, but the thing is, and it's really going to blow your mind, but I can change the channel if I don't like it.
-
There aren't any songs made for atheism. I'm so confused.
-
UnLoving NewbieI'm pretty much just referring to the song Same Love.
I respect that people believe in that - great for them, staying strong to their beliefs, and all.
But according to atheists religion should be kept out of...everything.
And yet.....?
Oh okay we'll just play Christian songs on there too; if you don't like it guess what you can just change the channel! -
We're not saying it should be kept out of everything. We're saying that we shouldn't have to make adjustments and suffer because of your religious opinion.
Keep it out of our politics. We don't need law makers who are willing to believe things without factual evidence. We don't need laws based on nothing but the bible. We don't need court rulings decided on religious affiliation. If you guys want to bind yourselves to those, then by all means keep it to yourselves. We don't believe your book, so stop using it as an excuse to influence our lives.
Keep it out of our public schools. We don't need priests or monks. We need teachers, engineers, archaeologists, astrologists, astronauts, and doctors. Things that require us to break the knowledge fearing chains of religion and actually strive for scientific knowledge and facts. Things that actually will benefit out futures and our lives. Not make us feel guilty for being human.
We don't give a s--- what yo people do as long as you don't try and force it on us. -
UnLoving NewbieI completely agree with you, bob :)
Therefore I really don't think Same Love should be on the radio; we won't bring religion into public things, neither should atheists :) I think that would be fair
