I mean, just the other day I was in religion class and the power point being used showed prisons in relation to "immoral" things (homosexual marriage, sex before marriage, etc.), and fancy little meadows in relation to "moral" things.
I also don't get how they keep trying to tell us that doing stuff like community service for personal gain is wrong, but if we don't do it we won't get to heaven. Mixed message? I think so.
And whenever you bring up a valid point that is against "Christian morality," you're told that it's irrelevant.

Don't let people get in between you and your relationship with God. Churches can be ignorant and wrong, and I think it's best to have a direct relationship with God then through "organized religion".

Organized religion is bad. A lot of people get confused when I say this, as if I'm saying they should abandon theism altogether. Which is not what I'm actually saying when I say "abandon religion." They're two separate things.
You can be a strong believer in...something and not religious. -
Perhaps find another church?

I've looked into other churches, and everything is the same. I still believe in God, just not religion.

I pretty much figured out that all religion is basically the same. You're better off just staying the f--- away from all of them.

Cate Palantir NewbieReligion isn't the same as a personal relationship with God. Religion teaches/believes that you have to earn your way to heaven. A personal relationship with God is believing that salvation through Jesus is the Way to heaven, you don't have to "earn" anything...totally different.

I agree with you in somethings (btw I am a Christian) That some people out there have got it all wrong! but the church I go to has got it right :)
