Also, by definition a community is just people living together and having something in common. Or a feeling of fellowship as a result of sharing common attitudes, interests, and goals.
When I say GTQ is a community, I'm saying that we're a bunch of like minded close knit people. I'm not trying to tell you we have rules. I'm trying to tell you that we all share some characteristics. One of those is that we do not appreciate people coming here and attacking others or fighting without any actual goal in mind. If you're fighting for the sake of fighting, then you are being a nuisance and we are going to want you gone.
These are not laws.
I'm not trying to speak for everyone.
I'm not flexing some petty form of ego.
I'm not rallying people as cheerleaders against you.
All I am doing is explaining to you what people don't like about you. And how this dispute always ends. -
Let me jump in here. I've actually kind of been thinking about you, Damask, particularly the way you relate to the world. If there's maybe one piece of advice I could give you, it isn't so much to "accept" that everything is a mess, just be realistic, pick your battles, and maybe even look for a silver lining every once and awhile. Yeah there's a lot wrong with the world, but take some time to think about all the things that are right in the world instead. You can make a change without being so reckless and without being a pessimist. I find that no one really wants to listen to someone who says "we're all f---ed". At the very least, I recommend my own personal philosophy: "everything is f---ed, remain hopeful". Ultimately many of the f---ed things in life do not effect us in any way, and we choose to let them effect us. You may find it better not to focus on the world around you and instead look into yourself, ask yourself "what can I get from life?". Focus on the things you can control instead of the things you can't.

@Damask: I'm not saying to stop caring about others, because really what I see more from you is that you think humanity is terrible and that you think can improve it by enforcing your own morals on humanity. Maybe you don't see it this way, but there's a difference between caring about other people and telling them to live a certain way.

Damask, I went to mass yesterday. I listened to the priest's homily about getting into heaven, and I think what he said really applies here.
Worry about yourself first, then you can worry about others. Make sure you have a ticket to heaven. And you know what? Once you have the ticket, you don't always have it. You need to keep working for it. You get the ticket by helping others. You help the poor, the hungry, and the hurting. You don't have to preach about God to people who don't want to hear it to get into heaven. You have to be a good person. You need to pray and talk to God. Arguing about God won't get you anywhere. It's not faith that saves you; it's what you do with it. -

I DON'T debate about religion with people in real life. I keep it where it belongs; in the religion forum. I understand most of you people don't want to hear it. Then why do you come into this forum? You're waking right into the line of fire. -
Correction.
You are the only one using the "it's a religion forum" as an excuse to attack others. Up until now, it was used for debate and discussion. But we still never insulted each other or told others we were "dissapointed" in them for simply being human. THAT is something YOU brought here. It was never a part of this place. And while we understand that this forum IS for debating religion, we are a community and we do not appreciate people attacking us. -

Phan, I know. It was just on my news feed and I felt like I should share it. I'm fully aware it isn't real.
And Damask. When you first came on here we did give valid reasons why you were wrong. You just chose to ignore them. So please, explain to us why we should even try to point out how pathetic your strawman arguments are when you won't even reply logically? It's much more effective just to tell you to f--- off. -
My arguments aren't based off of "logic", they're based off of what I believe.
For the most part I feel like everyone else is managing just fine here, except you. You keep pouting about everything I post. If you hank my opinion is wrong, say so. Just because you don't have the same beliefs as mine doesn't mean mine is automatically wrong and you can start pouting about it. At least try, dude.
