Simply believing in God's existence is not a true Christian. Satan also believes in the existence of God.
Do you truly love God and feel he is in your heart? Do you read your bible and pray to him? Would you defend him in front of the unbelievers? -
Have you accepted Jesus as your savior?
-
Simply believing in pasta's existence is not a true pastafarian. Christians also believe In the existence of pasta.
Do you truly love pasta and feel it is in your colon? Do you read your cookbook and pray to it? Would you defend him in front of the non pasta eaters?
(Furthermore why would God need you to defend him? Kids defend their imaginary friends from parents who say they aren't real. Liars defend and protect their lies from people who ask questions. But if something is real, it doesn't need people to defend it. Especially for thousands of years.) -
bob: (Refering to third paragraph) I take it as more admitting to knowing and loving Christ. You are right :) God doesn't need defending. He's stronger than all of us combined.

You guys kinda missed the point of that. I meant like if your friends are saying something bad about God would you stand on his side and defend him or you would jut go along with your friends.
-
My entire last paragraph addresses your "point"
-
*headdesk*
Um yeah if your friends are saying "God sucks. you dont belive in God, do you?" wouldn't you stand up to them (pretending in this situation that you do belove on God) -
Your example was mixed. An attack on God, and an attack on the self are two different things.
"God sucks" Well that's your opinion. I have mine, oh well.
"You don't believe in God, do you?"
That second line isn't attacking God. That's attacking you personally. There's a very fine line between the two. -
Well like I said before, I'm the same person religiously and personally. But that's just me. Apparently normal people drop religion until the right time or whatever and then they go into religious mode? xD I don't even....actually that kinda makes sense. A lot of people do things against the bible every day and then suddenly when they walk into a church, those things aren't okay. -_- Even though God is always watching you.
Okay I'm getting way off topic.
My whole point was would you tell your friends that you don't believe in God or say that he sucks or something just to be cool or would you...I guess I shouldn't say 'defend' him but you know what I mean. -
Timothy 2:12
Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. For Adam was first formed, then Eve. And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression. Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing.
Everyone is guilty of picking and choosing what in the bible they want to adhere to. So now you can either remain silent or explain why you pick and choose what parts you want to listen to. -
That doesn't even...what's your point here?
