The answer to your question Anime, is some people take their faith way to seriously. That don't understand that being a Christian isn't about dressing up and screaming in peoples faces.

It's about sharing your religion with others; not forcing them; jut talking about it with them. If they don't want to talk, we'll stop but otherwise we'll just share a bit of it with them and we only do it because we care about them and about their faith.

Damask, in that lies the problem. You don't stop. We've asked you to stop. We've pointed out what we don't appreciate. And while I will admit you have been making improvements, your religiosity is still an overtone in everything you say or do.
We don't care about your beliefs. We don't want to hear about your personal relationship with your God. You wonder why people don't talk to you much or why you don't get very positive feed back. Well that's why. Introductions are all about selling yourself. And frankly that isn't what you've been doing. Strip away the religious viewpoints. Strip away anything and everything that you feel compelled to say or do because of your religion. Let us meet the REAL DAMASK. Not the religion she adheres to. -

2. This forum is open for ALL religious opinions, INCLUDING mine and I can write whatever I want about my religion here. If you ask me to stop in the lounge or wherever I will because it doesn't belong there, but here it does belong and everyone including me has the right to share their opinion here.
3. All I live for is God. That's who I am. A follower of God. And I will die knowing that that's what I did with my life was worship my God because I believe that's what I was put here for. I don't need to accomplish anything else in my life (even though I will get a career and stuff). This is the real me.
As far as "selling myself" I don't even know what you're getting at so I'm not going to even comment. -

1. Then piss off. Because your lack of interest makes you no better than the half a dozen other people who have come and gone with the same saying.
2. I'm not asking you to stop talking about your religion you thick skulled f---. I'm asking you to stop putting other people down and acting so f---ing superior. People already don't care for you, but you might not be SO hated if you didn't speak to everyone with such a condescending tone.
3. Then you aren't welcomed here. If you can't break the training wheels and think for yourself outside what your church has trained you to say, then you aren't welcomed here. You obviously have no personal identity. You are a servant. An automaton.
4. Selling yourself is a term used in show business and job interviews. It means to make yourself presentable and likeable to others in order to obtain the most positive response and the most receptive listeners. If you go in preaching and telling other people they're going to burn, you aren't going to get nearly as positive of a feedback as you would if you acted a bit more pleasant. -

3. I don't even....dude this is the religion forum. I only come in here to talk religion. What am I supposed to say "hey, what's up guys? No I don't believe in that because I just don't feel like it and it doesn't go with my personal identity", rather than basing my opinions off my beliefs even though that's the forum we're in? I have a personal identity but I don't just drop God out of the entire "who I am" thingy. I'm not two different people; I'm me and I'm a follower of God and that fits into one.

3. If all you're going to do is put other people down and adhere to tightly and closed mindedly to your book, then you aren't going to make any friends. I'm not saying that trying to be mean. I'm saying that because that's what's going to happen. Believe it or not, I don't like seeing people on here who are constantly being put down and hated. I try everything I can to get them to open up and let GTQ be as much a home for them as it is for me. And if they refuse to budge, then I tell them to leave. It's better than sitting here and being hated. And is there ANY part of you that isn't based on what your church has taught you? Those are the parts we want to see. The parts that are distinctly human. And not just parroting what you've been taught in church. The things other people can connect to. "Sell yourself". Your personable qualities.
4. Don't apologize. If you can do something to make it better, then make it better. If you can't, then don't feel bad for it. Being sorry doesn't accomplish anything. Make it right or don't let it bother you. -
I try to rarely talk about religion or poltics in fear I may hurt someones feelings...

If you aren't here to make friends, then forget anything and everything I've said about selling yourself. Don't worry about telling me your positive qualities or things that interest you. If you're just here to spew your opinion on religion then you are no better than macooo, Jesusistheway, or any of the other half a dozen people who have done that.
I don't think God's plan for you was to preach about him to people who want nothing to do with you. I was trying to help you gain their interest. Get them to actually care about you, so that when you did preach about your god, they might actually listen. But you're making it painfully clear that you have no intention of establishing connections with anyone here. So I repeat what I said before; Get out.
GTQ is a family. GTQ is MY family. We don't care what you're trying to sell us. If your only goal is to preach, then you'll just continue to get the same results you've been getting. Shut doors and cold shoulders. -
