Thread Topic: we should pray? Part II
-
I did one of these for the conservative response to Obama's reelection, but this installment will be a bit more serious. This is about the response to the shooting in Connecticut.
As usual, the typical response (at least on Facebook) is "our thoughts and prayers are with the victims". Well, that's a nice sentiment and all, but if there is a God, I don't think He wants you to pray right now. What He really wants is for us all to get our heads out of our ass and stop turning a blind eye to violence in our society. That can mean any number of things. It could mean getting rid of your guns. It could mean be more careful about the games your kids play or the movies or TV shows they watch. Let's face it, violence is a disease in our culture. There are naturally people who will say God works in mysterious ways and this was meant to happen. Maybe it was. Maybe God wanted to get our attention. But now the ball is in our court and we need to follow through. -
I agree. I definitely agree.
What happened to the good old fashioned "Super Hero" and "Sonic the Hedgehog" video game violence?
Now its based on things that actually could happen in our society.
Since I still play, for example, Sonic games, I can't go out and be like: "HEY IMMA DESTROY A ROBOT! THEN STOP A FAT GUY FROM TAKING OVER THE EARTH WITH SPEED!"
Why? Because IT CANT HAPPEN. -
I miss Mario violence. Jumping on a turtle or mushroom to kill it.

I still love black ops...
IMMA GONNA MURDER SOMBODA THEN
