how long will it take before you realize that you can achieve anything you think of?
-
By 'you all' will that include you? Because i dont think you've achieved everything you thought of.. Growing up is something that takes time. You rush it otherwise you'll never have a childhood. I havent achieved everything ive thought. Im not married, i dont have 5 precious babies or a house on the beach. Im not a published writter. But yet im pretty grown up. Things take time... Everyone will get to where they want to be in their own time

I'm not asking you to already have everything you want done. What's the point of living if you already have everything you want? I'm asking if you've started trying...
-
Have you started trying? Everyone works at their own pace. Im one step away from becoming that published poet.. If they like my work. I just havent submitted my work due to the $700 they want that i dont have. Ive spent 6 years working on it. Everyone works at their own pace. Remember majority of the people who get on this site are younger than us james. They dont even know what they want in life. Half of the people here cant see past adolescent things.

Don't you remember having childish dreams? I wanted to be an astronaut. I wanted to be part of the first space colony on the moon. Oh how I was determined to do that. It's what originally made me start studying science. It was my driving force to learn. The goal might have been childish, but working for it is what made me who I am today.
-
Childhood dreams change. I know mine did. I never got to live my childhood. I had to grow up before i was suppose to. When i started writting i didnt want to be an author. I didnt know what i wanted. Now i do. You cant tell someone to grow up before they are ready. You cant tell someone to work on their life goals if they dont know what they want. Things change throughout your life. And not everything goes the way you plan. You cant map out your whole future.

I'm taking a college math course and moneyskills/relationships. My current goal is human resources. I'd say I'm on the way.
And as for all of you who are currently pursuing your goal, doesn't it feel good to be doing what you are interested in?
(It's the same two of you who contradict everything I say) -
I don't have goals anymore,I guess it's because my life's already f---ed up.
-
Well, I've already started planning for college. And I'm in 8th grade. If you ask me, perfect time to start thinking about it. I'm taking an advanced art class, and I plan to continue taking art classes in high school. I want to be an Interior Designer. It's a realistic goal for me, and I enjoy it. I also am considering trying to get a degree in Science/ Astronomy, because I enjoy that as well. I am trying to keep my grades up (which actually isn't too hard, but I would like them higher) so I have a better chance at getting scholorships to the colleges I would like to attend, because I don't have enough money to pay for the tuition to those schools. I am on the Honor Roll or Academic Acheivements every marking period. I am in high school classes, which give me credits that I need to get a diploma. So, I am essentially getting a head start on high school. I enter a painting in my county fair every summer. I don't always win anything, but I try. I watch design shows and science shows on TV all the time. I read willingly all the time.
So, what do you have to say about that? Am I persuing my goals in life? Because I sure as hell think I am. -
I think it's absolutely sad that I'm taking the only thing I'm good at as a hobby.
-
Heck yes! :D I'm so excited for the audition!
