I've never been to public school before, and I'm not nervous(okay, maybe a little), I just don't know what to excpect. I'll be going into the seventh grade.
If you'd be so kind as to offer advice, I'd be very happy. -
Choose friend carefully and try avoid drama.
That all I can think of. ^-^ -
Oh God, seventh grade...
I was never in seventh grade, but I was in 8th...oh dear god was I in 8th.
I had a trip through hell, maybe you won't, but if you do:
Make friends (obviously)
Try to avoid drama, this will lessen the chance of finding yourself in HELL
Read. A lot. This puts up a force field between you and them and they usually do not attack you here.
If all else fails, declare SHENANIGANS. To declare shenanigans, just write up an official declaration of shenanigans and do things like put dog crap in their backpack while they're not looking. -
>Don't try to be preppy or popular. Trust me, real life is NOT like in the movies. Copying Regina George from Mean Girls won't get you anywhere.
>Be nice to people.
>Listen and pay attention in class. Your studies and grades are EVERYTHING!
>Don't be rude, again, be nice. Offer to help etc
>Joining clubs or sports is great. (Drama club, etc)
>Avoid drama like everyone else said. You don't wanna get involved. Nuff said.
>Don't focus on getting a boyfriend because that's just...
Good luck :P -
Do what everyone else here just said. You'll be fine. I didnt go to public school till 10th grade, besides half a year in 4th grade. So I dont know what middle school in a public school is like, but I guess you'll find out, eh? but theres no reason to be nervous about it or anything.

I was in eighth just a few years ago!
Ok, so.
1. Find friends that will stick by you no matter what.
2. Be nice to EVERYBODY! If your nice to even the popular mean students, you won't get bullied because they'll think that you're on their side! Teachers will be kinder and less strict on you if you're nice to them. And kids that are "lower class" will think you're the BEST PERSON EVER!!
3. No matter what anyone tells you, you're still AWESOME!! Brush off rude remarks if being teased or what not. (Note: There is a rare chance that you'll be bullied. If you do get bullied, tell your counselor IMMEDIATLY!!)
4. Make a good impression on the other students as well as the teachers. You don't want them thinking that you're dumb or that your weird. If they ask you something, be polite and answer back.
5. Books before fun. In middle school homeword can be stressful. The only thing you can do is just tough it out and do it! Don't procrastinate! I'll just get worse!
6. Be yourself! But also be contious of what your saying or doing. Anything that you find embarrassing or weird yourself, don't tell others you don't think you can trust about it. But still be yourself and don't try to be anybody else.
7. I know that this may offend some people, but its good to know now. I've had first hand experience. If there is someone in the "lower class" group (which are usually the obnoxious and annoying ones) following you around, its not a TERRIBLE thing, but if its like my stalker, it can be quite annoying. Here are some tips to getting avoiding those situations:
> Be nice to them no matter what or they can report you for bullying.
> If they won't stop bothering you or following you, tell them politely to go away or if your to nervous to tell them face to face, talk to your counselor.
> Get your friends to help out too.
> Don't tell them any secrets. If its like my stalker, they'll try to tell the populars.
8. THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT TIP I CAN GIVE YOU!! Don't waste your time on the boyfriend/girlfriend thing. Guys and girls this age, aren't ready for a serious relationship! Crush all you want, but don't date!
9. Avoid drama.
Hope these tips help! :) -
Heres what I did.
1. Stay under the radar.
2. Don't look for friends. Let them find you.
3.Make money to fund your love of weed
4. Just do whatever the hell you want. -
Here's another tip.
What Hunter said, don't find friends. Let them find you. You can still be outgoing and nice, but don't just go up to a random person and say: "Hi! My name's _______! What's yours?"
Because honestly, if somebody did that to you, you'd be creeped out. Right?
