@skatter, it sounds familiar, but I cant place the letters.
@Teresa, burning. I've tried cutting myself. Burning is harder to handle, harder to hide, more damaging long and short term, and at least with cutting, you go into shock before the sting kicks in.
@Ozzy, because you have come to terms with the thought of death and often contemplate whether you have anything left to live for? (dont do it) -

How come I can't cut myself, yet I can burn? Cutting somehow scares me and I can't get something to cut me, yet I can deal with burning. How does that happen? -

@Teresa, because the thought of a metalic blade going under your skin disgusts you. You cant see a flame burning you, but having to look at the blade is what you're scared of.

@Skatter, that is the one question I cant answer. I spent a very long time trying to understand it. It eventually drove me to trying it for myself. The only answer I can give is that the person cutting themself needs to want to quit. They need to understand why they should quit. And you need to help them be strong once they've made the decision to try and quit.

@Teresa, I'm not sure I understand the question, but from what I can tell, you need to tell someone that it's infected. -
