why did there have to be a group for it? By giving yourself a title it is adding to the trend. I understand that you arent doing anything that I previously mentioned, but if you arent doing any of those things, are you really doing anything but giving yourself a name? By calling it a group you are giving others who make more mallicious groups a shield to hide behind. Arguements will round out to either someone else arguing for their group saying, "Well tingy has a group, why does she get to have one?" Or a member of your group who doesnt understand the intentions defending another group.
As long as it exists at all, there will be extremists and a place for them to hide. Look at this from a religious point of view.
It starts with one, that one expands and gains popularity. That one branches off into second foundings that have different rules to seperate themselves. To inforce those rules violence is innacted. (salem witch trials, dark ages, ect)
On a much smaller scale we have groups which you can already see starting to follow this same course. The effects wont be anywhere nearly as devastating, but in the long run if we dont sever the head of this now, it will only escalate into anarchy. -
you really are overthinking this e_e' this group is harmless, we're just people on gtw that have deviantart, it's too long to say so we just say deviantartists.

you're not, i understand about the protection of gtq ones but the harmless ones are okay, like the deviantartists isn't really a group its more of a shortened name so we don't have to type 'i am an artist on deviantart'..

So what about the ones where there are ranking systems? Giving people titles and ranks is belittling others. You yourself have a title in a group. You had to give information and take an oath to even get in. It may have started as a harmless fun, but yet hasnt everything in life started out that way?

the other ones i don't really agree with, i mean i'm part of them but i don't like the ranking system, but i'm not sure about biance's it's more about helping people, my role is to help people draw the outfits for their characters if they can't find the outfit they want.. -
But you see what I mean. Even you dont agree with parts of it, and from what I can tell, the only reason you joined was to do something that you could have just as easily done without the group.

good point but it was pretty disorganized without it. no one would ask for help or anything.

Because of how antisocial GTQ has become. People arent the way they used to be. The attacks on newbs that never existed before are making anyone who shows up here find their little clique of friends and stay in their comfort zone. No one is talking to people they dont know anymore. Even I have to practically make a new profile just to get people to stop avoiding me for 2 days.

yeah i've noticed that ._.
really though, a lot of the newbs showing up are...unbearable and i find its not worth the effort to talk to them anymore. -
I talk to alice, jade, and a couple others on occasion. Honestly, the only person I really talk to is you.
