Dancing In The Rain

I had the most powerful spiritual experience yesterday and I cried like half of my body water out it was amazing
-
I have literally never seen something so beautiful as that in my life ever
-
I didn't always love my body but when I remember it's a temple I feel encouraged to take better care of it
-
And I used to feel self conscious about certain figures of mine because people always refer to "curvy" girls as the attractive ones but I actually really like my stick body! It's good for running and stuffs
-
And to anyone who feels self conscious about their looks, I find it so encouraging when I see features proudly displayed in other people that I'm insecure of myself. It's sort of like a reminder like "hey, you're not alone, i know what it's like and it's okay to be this way. we're just human"
-
Also let's stop pushing body images onto minors going through puberty and developing!! My job is not to look "sexy" or "appealing" bc I'm a literal child who's job is to grow. Maybe if we stopped treating minors like that, we wouldn't have so many body issues hmm???
-
Encouraging minors to participate in basic hygiene and activies for health: Yes ✅
Encouraging minors to starve and sexualize themsves and to surgically alter their appearances in order to be "hotter": No no a thousand times no ❎ -
Hey you, hey me, hey I am talking to myself
Shut up and do your work or you'll stub your toe on every bed frame you pass -
Unpopular opinion but if you force your friends to beg you to do basic self care, you are not being a good friend. And I'm not talking about the playful teasing where it's like "eat you sucker" "haha nooo" I'm talking about when you constantly tell your friends you haven't eaten and/or haven't slept just so they have to beg you. It makes me so upset to see young kids being forced to beg their friends to do basic things for their health because it really takes a toll on you over time
-
And it's fine to just talk about what you're going through. Absolutely NO shame in that or just talking to yourself and being like "hm i should eat", I mean the people who post in group chats and force it onto people and get upset when no one begs them to do self care. That's not cool
-
I know this girl who in the past has done this CONSTANTLY and whenever someone's happy or excited about something, she talks about how depressed she is or how much her life sucks. Which yeah, sure, but can't it wait? It killed the mood and the person couldn't even celebrate anymore, and then she got mad when people were like "come on, maybe some other time"
-
Not anyone on this site btw just wanna clarify!! Y'all are cool funky people
-
But like seriously. I remember she got mad because she deactivated her account for, I kid you not, FIVE TO TEN MINUTES and nobody noticed. Like?? Hello we have lives outside of the Internet and you?? She post about it and was like "nobody cares about me" even though we have CONSISTENTLY supported her and taken time out of our day to make her feel better. So I kinda snapped and politely told her that we have lives outside of the site and that doesn't mean we don't care
And then she deleted the post : ) -
And I'm like pretty sure she hasn't learned from this and will continue to do this and guilt trip people when confronted and use her mental health as an excuse for bad behavior but ig it's whatever
-
Like girl you aren't the only one with bad mental health 😭 literally the entire group chat has some kinda issues and I think you forget that or smth
