So what's up with this?
Death
fire
darkness
demons
hell
satan
torture
depression
orphans
vampires
other random monsters
Apparently this is what "cool" and popular today.
Can somebody please tell me, what in the name of God is so cool about all this stuff? Well...I guess I understand vampires, because of the twilight series and stuff.
But still, I don't see anything cool about death and war. -
It's a trend. Everybody tried to become "non-conformist" and now it's way popular. I guess I sort of consider the biggest trends of this generation gangsters and emos (no offense to anyone).
Depression is a clinical problem and isn't just for "emos". I've been through it but I'm starting to get out. I'm living proof that patience is vital and there's no need for suicide. So is most of my family actually.
Point is just be yourself. :P -
Well, before from what I understand, it was just an interest and it still can be. Just more and more people are getting into it, making it more of a (Ana's right) trend than in interest.
Depression still stands where it is. It's a serious thing and should not be faked for attention whatsoever... but people still do for like pictures and whatnot.
As long as people aren't over-exaggerating or faking the interest, I have no problem with it. -

Well, for depression, I say it's what many many people today face every single day...so thats why its so popular.
About the others...well...ppl just think they are interesting. for example...the vampire trend...some ppl love it and a few dont. the twilight (ugh) series also hav vampires and werewolves in them. I for one, am not interested in vampires, darkness and all that. -
About the depression thing...I don't think depression is a choice. What upsets me is that so many people fake it to get attention, and I have known a couple people who faked it because they thought it was cool. xP

I'm pretty much considerd weird for liking it,though I allways have ever since I was a little kid. -
I guess I like some Morbid stuff...but I also like bright stuff.
Where I live,knowing what "Rawr" means,liking Hello Kitty,and having a "I boobies" braclet is "cool" -

I don't like it cuz it is popular, Ive always been that way ever since I was little. Sigh, I wish the world were more like fantasy books... Then I'd be understood a little better. Oh and btw my whole class is morbid and dark, ( I love it! Our teachers freak at every writing assignment) but we wouldn't (I hope not) go around doing bad things. I wouldn't unless I permanently became part of the 'emo' or 'gangsta' croud. Which won't happen. Anyway I just like stories and pics about that kind of stuff. But unless it's the villain vs superhero, I like violence to be limited to fit the plot of the book (so make it super violent)......... This entire paragraph has no meaning
