Also,
If you tell someone to go kill themselves, that's legally, attempted murder.
If the person actually does kill themself, you are now considered an accomplice to murder, and could go to prison.

I agree with most of the things you've said here. Yeah, it's really s---ty to go tell someone to kill themselves, I agree with that, because like, really. You're murdering them, and unless if they're really heartless and don't care about the pain they've caused a family after their little baby girl/boy/whateverothergendersthereare, they should feel really s---ty about that.
But, sometimes joking about suicide can be really funny though. Like, I'm not going to joke about it around people I know don't really like that stuff and hate it. Usually when I have the strong urge to cut, I joke about suicide with my friends. It makes me feel better for some reason, I don't know why, but it does. Joking about that s--- around people you know aren't okay with it though is pretty s---ty, so I'm not going to be an a--hole about it or anything, and yeah.

Nothing is above joking. To pedestalize it and make it above being joked about, you are giving it more power than it deserves. You make it as serious as it is. You make it so that people claim it for attention, or to hurt others. People taking it overly serious are what give way for people to abuse it. -
Rain has told me to kill myself when I was considering it, and so did Sub_Zero.

I ignore it. It doesn't offend me or bother me at all, because everybody has their sense of humor, a lot of people really offensive humor, but how do we stop it? I've actually done this a couple times, told people to die, and I have to admit that I don't feel any different about doing it after reading this post. Then again, I don't say it often, unless I truly want the person to die. But you might as well discard my opinion because as mentioned so many times before, I'm unstable.
But I suppose I can see where you're coming at, and don't blame you for thinking this way. I've never had practical experiences so I'm not as affected by it. -
