Am I the only one who absolutely hates it when people end their sentences with a dangling "so"?
For example;
"What I posted wasn't even like that so ???"
So what? SO WHAT? It's like they're leaving the sentence for you to figure out what's supposed to come next or like "It's so f---ing obvious what they mean." It's not. It's poor grammar and makes the person saying it seem vain and conceited. Like everyone else should obviously have come to their conclusion.
I can understand the use of the Dangling "so". It's meant to show a common understanding and can be used as a way to allude to something unpleasant or vain in a sentence. But in normal conversation when you're actually at a disagreement with the person, the very f---ing use of the dangling "so", IS WHAT ALLUDES TO THE PERSON BEING VAIN OR UNPLEASANT.
It's a cop-out. And a s---ty one at that.
RANT OVER. -

I tend to do that a lot, but I look back and hate myself for it. It aggravates me when others do it as well, so I see what you're saying.
-
I recently found out that there's an entire Facebook group called; I hate people who end sentences with so.
-
there's a lot of Facebook groups that really don't need to exist so
-
I feel your pain, dude.
-
Some people are too lazy to finish what they are saying.
-
I also hate dangling "or"s.
-
I do that so much. I always end up ending my sentences with "or", "like", or "so".
-
we say so because it's kinda like a period, not always meaning there's more toyour statement like "there's no more chocolate, so" more like, "I'm sure we can wait awhile sincw we're not in a hurry, so"
although you COULD add to it, the addition isn't necessary. -
Alex. I literally just explained the purpose of the dangling "so".
"It's meant to show a common understanding and can be used as a way to allude to something unpleasant or vain in a sentence."
Or did you already have your response typed out before you took the time to pay attention to what I said? -
I'll sometimes end my sentences in "so," "like," or "or."
I personally don't really care, but that's just my opinion. -
^
I think it's not that big of a deal. I end my sentences like that because I don't feel like ending it so I'm like 'f--- it'. -
I agree, I don't really like it either.
-
It's a poor literary device that makes you sound vain.
