Please stop using anime as your excuse for everything. You're in love with tumblr, and we don't go around saying it's s--- and it's bad. We let you have your way with praising it.
-
There are actually blogs on Tumblr I like. I also reaaalllly like anime. And well--oh wait what am I proving here
nvm
what dark said -
You aren't using proper grammar and you are fully capable of using. I really don't see why bob hasneven bothered to talk to you if you won't even pretend to be intelligent.
-
Okay, but you've become so fixated on one thing. Maybe expand your interests?
What's wrong with libfems? -
Why does grammar matter, grammar's got nothing to do with being intelligent.
-
In a way, Lions, grammar does entertwine with the basics of intelligence. You're right, someone can be Albert Einstein and type like a three year old. But wouldn't more intelligent people know how to punctuate their sentences and use appropriate capitalization? Just like in real life, they would speak and write fluently, but would they throw away that basic information? I think the chances of someone who is a genius to someone who is a complete moron; the moron is more likely to use text speech, mostly because they can't spell that well.
Just wanted to point that out.
Also, dittoing what Joker said. -
Geek, it's a secret love of mine to try and communicate with the violently retarded. Honestly, the habit is unhealthy, but then again posting in these forums is unhealthy. So really I'm doomed no matter what.
-
Hmm I know what you mean Br0wnie but like Geek said - he knows Eva is perfectly capable of using good grammar and punctuation so she doesn't have to prove her intelligence by how she types everytime.
It's like using perfect grammar at school but when you write to your friends you feel you don't need or want to make the effort, do you know what I mean? Because they already know you're intelligent. -
Yeah, I see that. Sorry.
-
I just came in to say that there is absolutely nothing wrong with being very convicted in what you believe in.
And that while I appreciate the use of conventional spelling and grammar (I won't say "proper," as some things are disagreed on as to what is "proper"), I find it's often used as a substitute for actually discussing the topic at hand. As in, it's automatically assumed that someone doesn't know what they're talking about because their grammar is wrong.
It's possible and hell, even likely that they're less intelligent overall. Sure. But that's no reason to completely dismiss what they have to say, in that moment, on that topic.
Although if we're going to be criticizing UL, I'd say she isn't serious enough. -
I agree with ilovelions here, you don't need to use perfectly fine-tuned grammar when the people you talk to know you're intelligent. Also, just bcuz sm1 tlks lk ths sometimes doesn't mean they're any less intelligent. Hell, I used to do that on here and I was MUCH more intelligent
and harder to get angry about somethingthan I am now! -
But in here lies the problem. All of you are assuming we KNOW she's intelligent. She hasn't exactly done anything to display that idea. Anywhere from circular reasoning to trying to use f---ing anime as a weapon to hurt everyone else. She lashes out like a child. Ignores anything that doesn't align perfectly with her world view, and hasn't demonstrated in any form that she is capable of holding a conversation without lashing out at others or bringing up her ideologies.
If you'd like evidence of what I'm talking about, look at pages 1 and 2 of this very thread.
