Actually it does. At this point I thought itd be obvious that when I talk about power I dont mean civil rights, I mean what it is possible or impossible for a person to do.
And yes, she obviously did have a mental illness, its not slander to state the truth, healthy people dont kill themselves xD -

I just choose to support them because it was their own belief and their beliefs weren't hurting anybody. I wanted to support her because she didn't get a choice in her gender but she doesn't feel right as a boy. I think her beliefs are completely innocent and because nobody accepted her, that's why she took her own life. You make some good points, I must say, but my opinion doesn't budge.

Anyway, trans have a 41% suicide rate.
To put this in perspective, the average suicide rate is 1.4%
Instead of coddling these people and playing into their delusions, we need to start getting them some serious mental help to save their lives. Transgender-ism IS a mental illness. It is not normal to think you are another gender. And when that thought process causes depression, bodily mutilation and suicide, we need to stop treating it as anything else.
Also, I kind of think this petition is insulting. Not only to Josh Alcorn, but to his family. How would you feel if your son died, and then thousands on the internet called you a terrible parent and demanded you post mortemly (Note, not a word) change your son's name? -

Do you think there was a "right" body for him to be born in? Gender is designated by distinct chromosomes, his chromosomes are consistent with a human male. So he is literally a human male. I don't hold it against him, and I dont even necceserily insist that the incorrect conclusion of ones own gender be clarified, but in this case it apperently drove him to suicide, so...what would you call his mental state?
Facts are what they are, he was a boy, and it sucks but you cant sprout wings and fly either. If you think you can we call that mental illness. Would apply different reasoning to the situation? If so, tell me because im sincerely open and curious of what you have to say -

It's not a mental illness. It is normal for certain people to feel as if they were not born in the correct body.

Girl almighty, I DO want it to be my business. I couldn't tell you why logically, except for that I feel like it...but I do feel compelled to speak on the matter, because the chances of improving things are greater if you propogate principles pragmatism and materialism. As history shows, even in countries of great opresssion, society flourishes under economic approach to life. That is to say, ignore what doesnt matter, deal with what does, and reap what you want.
I show as much respect to a given opinion as it deserves. If you respect things just because theyre their, doesnt thatsort of devalue your respect? -

Untalented, youre right, a certain percentage of delusion is expected in a given population, that doesnt mean thinking your a girl when you're a man is healthy. And like I hinted at, there is no correct body. Youre born as you are, it isnt wrong or right, it just is.
Part of the problem is you(and many others) lump all sexual deviance into that silly acronym basically meaning rainbow people when In fact, homosexuality is not the same as transgender, which is not the same as asexuality. Theyre seperate issues. Just because homosexuality has never been shown to be a mental illness in and of itself doesnt by any means indicate that gender dysphoria is healthy, infact theres a ton of evidence to suggest the opposite -
