To hide something about yourself because you're scared you will be bullied or your friends will think of you differently? eg. Stereotype, favorite band, likes, dislikes.

I suppose it's alright, until you don't pretend to like a thing, which in realitiy you don't. Somethings just cannot be shared with others but, don't feel scared to put up your opinion. You shouldn't care what others might think till you feel that what you believe is not bad.
You can always share your likes and dislikes. No one can be bullied for that. -
But they are bullied for being who that are. :(

Many years ago, I was bullied at my school too. I was too nice and sweet. They didn't like my preferences. Now, I'm a don't-you-dare-mess-with-her person, and many people say I've got much attitude. I don't care wheter someone likes what I like or not. Maybe you should try the same.
