We consider ourselves ugly and wonder at the beautiful people. But think of this....
Because of darkness, we feel the value of light. If there would have been light everywhere, nobody would consider it as important. Similarly, if all the people would have been beautiful, there would have been no importance for beauty. Just because we are ugly, importance of beauty is felt. So, we are significant too. -
I don't think anyone is comforted by this. .-.

No one who sees themselves as ugly wants to take the ugly so others can be pretty. In fact, it would be fantastic if there was no way to differentiate. People then couldn't judge you by appearance. -

But yes, what you say seems true in one way also...
People should focus more on inner beauty. Aesthetics doesn't matter only on outer appearance but on the inner beauty also. Its not our appearances but the mind-sets of people that should change.
I created this thread because many of my folks who are like me, were feeling insignificant about themselves. The conclusion is: Being ugly doesn't mean being Insignificant. -

I just think that's a stupid thing to base your significance from in the first place. If anyone truly believes that the only significance they hold as a human being is to make other people look beautiful in comparison, then I sincerely feel for them, for that is a sad, sad existence.
