If you don't promote it why get butthurt over not being mentioned?
The main/only reason people are butthurt is because they weren't mentioned.
Heck, I'd reckon if you were mentioned you'd go "awww, thanks" or something. -

It seems like he's asking why people would get upset over not being mentioned if they don't like these things. To which I would respond that if you don't care about these things, you won't. However, no one wants to listen to all of these people whine about how they weren't picked, and no one's gonna want to deal with the overly dramatic ones who won't be able to deal with it when they don't "win".
The main reason they get butthurt is because they aren't mentioned. But they'll whine about it if they got picked and didn't win. Maybe start demanding to know who didn't pick them.
I wouldn't thank someone for putting me in one of these things. I find them ridiculous. I'd rather be excluded entirely. -

I know damn well I was "nominated". e-e If you paid any attention, you would know I told you to take my name out. How f---ing shallow would I have to be to suddenly not be bothered by this stupidity just because I was mentioned?

Just because I was nominated doesn't mean I support this. I personally agree with Maru, (The Coldest Sun, whatever) but I've been staying out of this I'll just continue. I really don't care.

The reason I detest publicly voted spots is that they are always a popularity contest. Sometimes someone deserves it more than others but people are all "Hey this person has a lot of friends who will vote for them so they should win even if they don't fit the role," But whatever.

Why the hel wouldn't they care just because they were nominated? If you read anything they posted, you might get how stupid your reply is. That's like saying, "everyone else is starving, but it's okay because I have food!" They aren't upset because their names aren't on, they're upset because all this is is a popularity contest. All it does is hurt people's feelings.
Yes, I voted, but after reading what the others have said, I'm starting to regret it. I appreciate my name being up here, but they're right.
