Oh, trust me, I won't back down on this subject. I will f---ing PREACH. I'll pull out some scripture if I have to.
For anyone who thinks that being gay is a choice:
BEING GAY IS NOT A CHOICE.
Now, I'm speaking from personal experience. For all I know maybe people have, in fact, chosen to be gay, but personally, I doubt it. I came out as pansexual not too long ago, and I have to be totally honest with you: the first day of school after I came out, I was terrified to go to school. I knew that s--- could spread like wildfire as soon as I posted it (beforehand I had gone through my friends list and changed my privacy settings, all that jazz), and I honestly didn't know who knew or how people would react. Honestly, I'm surprised that I haven't gotten any s--- yet.
Now, looking at how petrified I was after coming out, think about it this way: I was scared that, at the very worst, someone might beat me up. Why would someone choose something that could potentially endanger them? I don't think that anyone who is mentally stable and aware of how cruel people can be would choose something like being gay. Now, I'm not saying that being gay is unhealthy or anything like that. Nor am I saying that I'm ashamed of who I am; in fact, one of my favorite things about myself is that I had the courage to come out and that I'm proud of who I am. And I don't mean to quote Lady Gaga, but I was born this way, baby. Just because I didn't realize that I'm not straight until a couple years ago, that doesn't mean that I suddenly decided to be pansexual.
So, yeah, just to make it clear:
I believe that being gay is NOT a choice. -

Whether people chose their sexuality or not ( which I don't think they do) really isn't anyone else's business. Just like being heterosexual isn't anyone else's business. I really don't see why people care, it's just how people are. We're different. It's no big deal.

I have nothing against homosexuality. I feel like it shouldn't even be controvercial? Like I feel like it shouldn't even matter in the first place. But as humans we push away anything that's different, we don't give them a chance. My theory is that this will be exactly like african american rights. Some time soon it will be okay to be gay. There will always be people against it, but they'll just have to get used to it. Homosexuality exists in over two thousand different animals. Homophobia only exists in one. People who are against Gays because of their religion are going too far in my opinion. The bible states "man shall not sleep with man" or something like that, implying that homosexuality is only wrong because they can't make a child?
1. We don't need more people on the Earth we already have overpopulation.
2. Gay couples are saving children in orphanages who might have spent their whole young life there without them.
Gays are people too. They're the exact same as they were before, they just prefer penis or vagina? They still have the same hopes and dreams and morals and opinions and feelings and they only have one body and they sure as hell don't want to spend their entire life feeling like they're different; not good enough because of who they love. People say it's a choice, but it's really not. If you like loving boys and don't girls, then why would you change that? It's like forcing yourself to always eat peaches even if you hate peaches just to please everyone else. Gay is Okay! -

Nice points wolf_heart, (your points 1 and 2). Maybe that's actually why there are so many these days like its an evolution thing to help overpopulation.
