Get, a baseball bat, and let out all your bad, very vicious, feelings towards something or towards a person and just take it out all over the bed, and hit it. And stop, and you feel very, better. I say do it ONCE a week.
-
But I like my bed better than most people. I don't wanna hit it.
-
Do you want your anger out of control and lash out on people or be a Warm-hearted person?
-
My anger doesn't lash out of control most of the time...
-
You only do that once a week? You're going to need to do that at least every hour if you think that's going to do anything for you.
-
I just write a letter with massive portions of cursing. I don't send it to that specific person of course, I throw it out after.
-
Just i say to dad,i want pocket money more

IHLAOY NewbieActually, recent and not so recent research has found out that letting your anger out in a 'healthy' manner, or as it is referred, catharsis, is actually more damaging than letting it build up and fester inside you.
See, it does this because of how the human brain works. Instead of calming you down, the act of catharsis actually serves in not only building your anger, but also serving for making you angrier in the future, due to the brain growing dependent on the dopamine and adrenaline released when angry. To elaborate on the first point, if you drive nails into a board to calm down, how are you going to react when you can't reach your board; in simple terms, of course.
And this isn't touching upon the physiological aspect of it all. Why do you lash out? To simulate revenge on someone who wronged you. But it doesn't work, and would only serve to ferment your feelings. A pillow is no substitute for real revenge, and your brain knows it.
What would be a much BETTER alternative would be to accept, control, tolerate and redirect that anger into something much more constructive than destruction. Some of the best literature in the world was written by wronged men, and some of the best art penned by fury.
Besides, why be angry when joyous is much better?

Angry is better ._.

^I was going to say that I paint horrendous amounts of things when I'm upset or angry and ask why that was bad for me but then I saw your last bit.

I just write when I'm mad. Or lay on my bed and make annoying bird noises ._.

I draw (then possibly paint if I like the sketch enough) the most horrifyingly awesome things.
Like...gore-all-kinds-of-I-don't-understand-how-this-came-to-fruition like of horrifying. On the bright side, this is what the art university I'm applying for is looking for in a portfolio, so I'm being very very productive. c: -
