It isn't a disease....

It's like a disease *
-
@geek it actually should be treated like a disease as it can cause bodily harm and is an ailment plaguing the mind. It's chemical wiring gone wrong in your brain and causes mental pain and sometimes physical pain and can result in death.
-
and AP, I'm nice to you when you're not acting like a c--- and blaming it on other things instead of taking responsibility (which in all due honesty, you do a LOT so my assumption went straight to that and you have my apologies for the blatant assumption).
-
The injuries done you did yourself, and it cannot be spread.

Don't you dare do another experiment like this Brat. I deal with depression everyday without medication! It's not fun or a good thing to experiment on! Hell I've almost went suicidal because of it.
-
Converse, I don't think you understand what I mean by physical pain. There are times when the depression can get so severe that the mental pain manifests into actual physical pain. Trying to do anything in that state is like an artist trying to
draw with Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
Also, (for lack of better disease that I can think of) cancer cannot spread, is it not a real disease? -

Well, let's not mistake "feeling sad sometimes" with being genuinely depressed. Me, I'm genuinely depressed. I ultimately agree though with the original post, I've found that you can't let depression rule your life, because that solves nothing, and really only makes things worse. You have to convince yourself to be positive, for real. I'm not saying that every attempt to be a part of the human race is going to come up aces, but you'll be surprised more often than not. The key is not to magnify the failures. Give yourself credit for at least trying.

Tongue- HIGH FIVE!

Yeah, I think the context or intent of what I was saying was lost on you. Seriously, this advice goes for you as much as anyone if you truly are suicidal.
-
I'm not suicidal....
-
That's good! And depression is harder to get rid of then you realize. Its like water falling into a bucket it keeps building and building until you lose it. I know. It helps to let it out sometimes. But yeah some people probably should suck it up sometimes. I know for me though, it kind of came out when I started getting suicidal thoughts. I am glad you are not suicidal. Really.
