Thread Topic: I have a strange thought provoking question.

What would life be like if you couldn't feel fear?
I think it'd be interesting. If you couldn't feel fear, what would you feel if let's say, you were startled by something. But would you feel the emotion of being startled? Or would you just react without a single thought. Would you be emotionless since fear is what drives most human emotions? -
Bump. ._.

I think it'd be more dangerous. Fear tells you when you need to initiate the flight or fight response and if you're completely fearless, you're more willing to do things that harm you. I'd say life would be pretty f---ing difficult being fearless.

Fear is one of the most primal emotions we have. It's something that all animals have. And to answer your question; being startled is a combination of fear, surprise, and joy. Which means that without fear, scientifically your response would be giddy.

How would life be without fear? Nonexistent. I'd have tried to fly or hump a tiger by now.

barber:
IM DEATH AND IM GOING TO KILL YOU KIDS!
kids: YAY! :D
WTF? -
Yeah without fear we'd all be dead.
