My school finally told us what the school play was going to be this year. Knowing me and how much I loved acting, I looked at an email my mom from the school (cuz she's signed up for this Info Letter thing).
The play said "School House Rock". I was confused for a moment, because I didn't know what play that was. So I did some research. I found out that "School House Rock" used to be or still is a TV show that appeared on Saturday mornings to educate kids. But they would do it in song, and they were very catchy songs. So the viewer would get it stuck in their head and they'd remember that a verb was an action or how a bill became a law or something like that.
THAT is the play we're doing. REALLY?! That is so INSULTING!! I have WAY more dignity than that! I'm so PISSED right now I want to freaking shoot my assistant principal. They want to stop bullying at our school? Anybody who tries out for that show will be made fun of forever!
And you know what else? The cast is made up of mostly men. Barely any guys last year tried out never mind perform.
I'm gonna talk to the school about it and contact the director. I am full of RAGE!! DX

Im fricken mad too! We are WAY better then to sink to the level of this play.
Last year we did Highschool Musical, and I was skeptical at first, but it was really fun. At least its a really musical, not just some stupid thing that isnt even a play. Its just some stupid fricken show that people watch, not a play. I will not sink to the level of this.
Who picked this out? Dont they know what type of plays the kids at our school will like? I dont care what they want, this is for the kids. Only younger kids will try out, and untalented people. Its going to suck HARD!
Im really mad too. I was expecting something awesome. Maybe I was expecting to much, but I really wanted to do Les Miserables or something like that. A REAL Broadway show. I dont know, I thought it would be fun. -
