Please correct me if I'm wrong:
I guess Sarah Palin is starting her own politicial group called the Tea Partiers. -
It's not made by Sarah Palin, she's just like a voice in it. It's a group of individuals all across the country getting sick of government spending and breaking the constitution.
-
And it's not really a political party. They just named their movement after like the Boston Tea Party I think, to represent being fed up with the government. I don't know a lot myself, but I'm sick of the left portraying them as racist idiots. There are people who are truly concerned with how this country's going, just average everyday peeps.
-
Okay, I was just wondering to see if anyone knew more information on it. I've been watching a lot about it, and wasn't getting it. Thanx for explaining
-
No prob, hopefully I didn't get much wrong.
-
tongue NewbiePalin, Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh are the leaders more or less. They are basically conservative Republicans. It is technically a separate movement because the national GOP machine isn't driving it, but I'd say it's pretty much a representation of current GOP- white, old, racist, stupid, angry and scared as hell!
-
tongue NewbieThe race component is up for debate I suppose, but almost all of the Tea Partiers are white, and the president they hate with such a passion is black. Also the Tea Party movement sprung up so quickly that it seems like it was being organized the minute Obama took office. Just a little food for thought.
-
Teddy the Bear NewbieLol, the tea-tards.
-
I think the Tea Parties should stick even after the Republicans take the House and maybe the Senate. Just to give the Republicans something to look forward to in the primaries if they sell out their conservative values for power like they did during the Bush era.
-
How much have you read about the Tea Parties?
-
tongue NewbieThe Republicans aren't gonna take the Senate. They'll get a couple of seats. They won't take the House either, but they'll win alot of seats in all likely hood.
-
They probably won't take the Senate, but the House I think is pretty much in the bag now.

tongue NewbieI'm not really sure I care how many seats the Republicans/Tea Party get, because if they don't get alot, it just means that the same failed leadership is still in place. It will be interesting to see what happens to the GOP and the Tea Party should they fail to make signifigant gains.
