Actually yes he is paided to much more that a history teacher.

dw1996 NewbieThe President is the leader of the most powerful country on Earth, so his job is pretty damn important. The financial compensation should reflect that at least a little bit. The starting salary for a player in the NFL is $400,000 a year, same as the President. If you can be paid the same amount to play a game and not even be good at it as the guy who runs the country, then you can't possibly say the President is underpaid.

if he gets elected again after his second term he has earned 3.2 million.
in twelve months he makes $33,333.

in 525,600 minutes, he earns $0.76.
compared to a history teacher......

yes the president is payed less than a professional athlete, but the professional athlete gets paided either way they do nothing special. one they get payed either way if the game gets rained out or cancelled they still get paided. -
Infinity NoviceI think the president is more important than an athlete so I think the President should be paid more than the athlete. I'm sure the President has more stressful Problems to deal with.
The athlete is just entertainment, which I find a bit overexagerated than for a man says they work day in and out on such an important job.
A History Teacher doesn't deal with the President's Problems of dealing with a nation. There are many History Teachers while 1 pres. and 1 vice pres. Why compare? They are not managing a huge powerful country. I do think the President should have a good amount of knowlege of History, but not all the details.
I don't think the history teachers are paid any more than all the other High School teachers, either.
I think you messed up your math. 12 months (a year) is $400,000, not $33,333. -
but youhave to round it hm. and I did all of that in history class.
and I was asking do you think he is over paided. its just a comparision of the money he makes next to a teacher. -
$400,000 seems pretty fair to me. Their job is more stressful and such.

True. I definitely wouldn't want it. I just believe that most of the people who are truly qualified for it never run or get in.
