Thread Topic: What is your opinion on fascism?
-
The Godfather NewbieI personally am a Social Fascist.
I believe in censorship, indoctrination, police terror, limited freedom of speech, and stricter laws.
However, I like the idea of freedom, and being able to do well in our capitalist society.
What do you think? -
The above five things are cool.
But it's EXTREMELY obvious that I'm anti-capitalist.
I'm also against the class system (I believe without capitalism, it's unnecessary) and I'm not too big on private property either (it's pointless with all the above things in play.)
And doesn't Fascism allow the class system and private property? If that is true, then my point is there's the all power to the State thing I agree with, and the other things I don't agree with. -
tongue NewbieIn your case, The Godfather, you are a fascist. Fascism is essentially every totalitarian characteristic of communism without the economic policies.
Obviously, I'm not a fan of that ideology. None of those five things you listed would be very American- in fact, they'd the exact opposite of the values we founded our country upon. Everyone, Fascists, Communists and Nazis included, should have the right to their opinion and to express that opinion. That's what America is. -
Another thing, I saw one of his posts where he praised America for getting rid of Fascism and a few other things, and then he calls himself a fascist.
You would think a person would be pissed at a country for getting rid of their favorite political ideology in a place. -
Need a quote?
"Regarding America putting the world hostage shut up. If not for us, there would still be fascism, no jews, slavery, no industrialization, and much more."
-
I am extremely anti-fascism, restricting those freedoms goes against what America was founded on and the Constitution itself. I consider myself a Libertarian so that's probably the opposite of fascism. However you do have the right to express your opinions but I think it is wrong to take away freedom of speech, expression, assembly, religion and press, the rights we are guarenteed under the 1st amendment in the Constitution.
Also I don't believe the federal government should have strong power. Anything not specified in the Constitution that goes to the federal government goes to the states and the people. So I'm for pro-limited government. -
Actually, I think Communism is the most likely opposite of Libertarianism, because isn't Communism left-wing and Libertarianism right-wing? And the first one is authoritarian/totalitarian while the second is anything but that. I think. Maybe.
