tongue NewbieIf there's one thing I hate as much as corporate interests in our political system, it's religious interests. The right-wing evangelical complex is a monster consuming all in it's path, and it's leaders are agents of intolerance. What annoys me especially is what some of them have been saying about Islam, all the negative things. The truth is, they don't know a damn thing about Islam- they're just a bunch of self-righteous demagogues who think it's their way or no way. They spew venom towards homosexuals, the Catholic Church, Jews, Muslims, liberals, and anyone who doesn't agree with them. They've pushed back against important stem cell research that could potentially cure diseases and they've kept real sex ed out of our schools. The Christian Right has systematically hijacked our country. It's time to take it back and tell these Christianist dogs to take a hike.

Agreed, as much as I respect other's beliefs nearly everyone talks of God as if we all believe in him. I don't mind if you do believe in God, but please don't talk as if we all do.

I've never been a fan of the Religious Right. They keep trying to legislate their fate into our lives.
