tongue AdvancedUm, I don't know a whole lot about Africa politically. I'd say Africa is probably at the best place politically since about the 17th century, with the exception of the failed state in Somalia, and the ongoing civil war in the Congo. South Africa I might be able to speak to alot better. There's a perception by many in Europe and America that South Africa is on pace to be a high-income nation, but the truth is that South Africa deals with as much poverty and disease as any other country in Africa.

I'm quite similar to Tongue on this subject, unfortunately. I'm not familiar with Africa's political condition (which is inexcusable considering my heritage).

I don't know a lot either, but in a positive light Africa has a lot of room to grow and become a more political player in the future. I think the revolutions happening in Libya and Egypt are important. If disease control, stable governments, and innovation get better it can definitely grow. :3
I'd like to see more out of South America and Africa someday. -
angelic4 NoviceYeah i'd say Africa is growing, might be slow in growing in politically and financially but its growing, S.A. on the other hand it has a high rate of disease, criminals, poverty, and racism even to its own kind
