If this is a thread about whether or not we should legalize prostitution then I would actually be for legalizing it. I don't see why the state should be banning something like that. Sure it's morally reprehensive but hey, it's your life. I think it's more of a state's rights issue but if I were governor I would probably legalize it if the oppurtunity came.
-
Well prositiuition is generally wrong, but in some cases it's taken to an extreme.
-
Prostitution is disgusting. Ban it and make more jobs for women so they don't have to resort to selling their body.
-
im with demonjoe on this one
-
A lot of prostitution is underage girls being sold into a sex slavery so I'm against it.
-
tongue NewbieI guess it's alright to legalize prostitution so long as the state doesn't have to subsidize it.
-
Yeah, I agree with Ana.
Human traffiking is a growing problem and no-one seems to notice it. It should be made more public.
-
Slim it's not a respectible profession and if you give it benefits you're only encouraging women to have to sell their bodies. It's pretty much a last resort to get money. I believe we should sympithize and try to help them get out of the situation. Not just throw them in jail. Jesus stood up for the prostitute against a crowd that was about to stone her. She was given a second chance, why can't common men/women do the same?
As for human trafficing we definitely need to do more to stop it and get more awareness out there. It's underground crime but it needs to be stopped. -
tongue NewbieUnderage prostitution obviously shouldn't be legal. As for human traff---ing, why aren't people getting life sentences for this? Human traff---ers get shorter jail sentences than drug dealers.
-
tongue NewbieIs human trafficing not spelled with K?
-
Why is that word censored?
-
But that would encourage more people to do it, Slim, and I think that would be morally wrong.
Yeah, I think traffiking is with a K. -
tongue NewbieThe censor thought I was saying f---. The censor has no knowledge of the English f---ing languange.
@Bambi: Legalizing something doesn't neccessarily mean that more people will do it. Actually it's just the opposite: during Prohibition, Americans consumed more alcohol than at any time during our history. Also if you ask a room full of people if they'd smoke marijuana(or smoke more of it) if it were legalized, almost no one will say yes. Trust me, I've seen this experiment in action. -
Then we shall vote to legalize prositution to stop more people doing it.
