At the school walkout, we had seventeen minutes of silence
For seventeen lost
Now I saw people with signs saying
"Ban all guns"
And
"We need more laws"
I think everyone has a say and has their own thoughts, but let me say this
It's not the guns who kill people; it's the idiots using them. If we banned guns, then the law followers would turn them in and be helpless
We don't need more laws. Killing is illegal. Bringing a gun in a school is illegal. What more do you need? -

I completely agree. I believe Ive said this on another gun topic but Ill say it again. Asking serial Killers to Please stop Killing wont do anyone any good. Waving signs in front of there faces wont do anyone any good. Asking the government to ban all guns wont do anyone any good. If you really want to stop these people, then join the police force. These students are fighting this all wrong. And thats the exact reason why nothing will change. -
Exactly. It would honestly be best if the schools hired an off duty policeman or a retired policeman to patrol the school. But it would cost too much. If the schools can't give us decent food, how will they do this?

What really makes me mad about people wanting to ban guns is that I feel like they don't understand what it's like to be out in the middle of nowhere. From what I've seen, the people wanting to ban guns all live in cities or in areas where you're closer to other people and where the police or someone can show up quicker if something were to happen. When you're out in the country, it takes longer for someone that can help get to you. That gun is the only protection that you have if someone were to break into your house.
My roommate comes from a city and I hear her talking to her mom all the time about how she doesn't understand why people have guns and that they should be banned. And she's never been to the south or Midwest or somewhere else where it's more country. So I personally feel like she shouldn't say that guns should be banned if she doesn't know what it's like to live by a farm or out in the middle of nowhere. (Okay, done ranting about that) -

I agree completely, we shouldnt ban guns, and I hope that we never do. Its simply that the people behind the trigger are making it seem like its the guns fault. -
Wow smart kids! I agree with you guys. Banning guns would make the good guys helpless and the bad guys already are killing people with guns, they don't care if they obtain/own a gun legally.
And I'm ok with adding stricter gun control, like a mental health test to buy a gun. But still..the bad people already have them and/or can find other ways to get them (like drugs -- those are illegal and people can still find ways to get them) -
The problem with gun control is that that'sthe best we can do. Control them and how we distribute them. In America, we legally cannot ban guns, it goes against our second amendment right. Which is why to prevent psychos from getting their hands on them, we need to make sure that anyone who gets a gun passes a psychological test first. Like a real one. And a gun should take more than the snap of your fingers to get.
