That is absolute bulls---. Of course it's related to race. There is no other explanation for the disproportionate number of instances of deadly force used against people of color as opposed to white people. There have been several instances of white people presenting a substantial threat to the immediate safety of the people around them who have miraculously been taken alive. A black child was shot and killed for having a BB gun in Columbus, Ohio a little while ago.

You know, funny thing, if you actually look at the statistics, cops are more likely to shoot and kill a white man than they are a black man. And in fact, the amount of black people killed by other black people is nearly 7x the amount of black people killed by whites.
It's funny, you know, that white on black violence is actually the rarest, yet is the most fought against.

If someone commits a crime, then pulls out a gun, an officer has no reason to stop tp check if the gun is real or not. And unless in the rare case that they have some other method of stopping them available, shooting them is the only way to go.
